I had this for 6 months and used it twice when I first got it and it worked OK. I was going on vacation and tried to update my free maps and it locked down the GPS. Then it took off my maps. I get a device, USB, and computer symbols now. It was the weekend so I had to purchase another GPS (Not Magellan). They have no support on the weekends and only 6 AM to 5 PM Pacific time Monday through Friday. Then you never get anyone; I tried to email twice and have been waiting for a response for 3 days. Nothing yet. I got a good deal: $63 brand new. Wasn't much of a deal. It is still under warranty but that does no good because you have to get a Return Authorization but there is no one to give it to you. This is the worst customer service I have ever heard of. I guess their policy is that if they don't communicate with you, you will go. It has worked with me; I will go far away from this company in the future.

This was a replacement for a previous RoadMate that we had broken. We shopped with a want-the-same-price-range objective. This unit does what we need and more. Transferred the old address book over to the new unit with Content Manager downloaded from Magellan site. The directions for this were a bit obtuse, but Magellan chat person in customer service emailed precise instructions and all worked well.

I work as a substitute custodian and need the GPS to find 24 schools in our district at moments notice. So far it has worked OK most of the time. Other times it sent me to the right street but wrong address by a mile, even when the address was verified and correct. Also it won't verify some addresses which are entered correctly. When selecting an address to travel to from the address book you must carefully touch the screen using a tiny finger, or you could easily load the wrong destination. I'm not sure if this is a Magellan problem or this particular model. Positive points are that initially, it is easy to enter multiple addresses using the Content Manager at one time and then sync them to your GPS. The ETA feature is also nice information to have, as well as finding commercial venues, if you're in close proximity to them. The price is great! I rated this as "Fair" only because I'm not 100% certain at this time, if I will end at the desired destination (for places I haven't yet traveled to) and this makes me a bit nervous. I don't want to be late for work so I allow ample time to arrive. When it dose work, it works great., keep your street map handy just in case.

I've had a Magellan before and found it easy to use, uncomplicated. I could not figure out my mom's TomTom. I get free map updates, traffic alerts and alternatives, points of interest and lots more! I only wish the volume on the spoken voice could be increased.

This is the third Magellan I have owned and very disappointed. Made a trip to Florida and power kept going out in some of the most important places.
