Mainstays 5-shelf Bookcase Oak

Easy to put together, exactly what I needed. Yes it's not fancy but it is pretty inexpensive. It does what I need it to do and looks nice in the room.

For what you pay for this product, the value is great. It is two bookshelves bolted together, but so what? You can barely tell. The directions are easy to follow and it's sturdy enough for everyday usage. The shelves will indeed sag eventually, however. The only genuine problem is that the hardware has gotten REALLY cheap (it's plastic now, instead of any kind of metal) and the dowels WILL on occasion snap off while you're "gently tapping" them in. Just re-insert the broken piece if it's long enough and try to tap it in a bit farther, since you won't have a chance in the world of extracting the rest of the piece from the shelf and putting in a new one. And then just remember to keep in mind that you assembled a 6-foot tall piece of furniture with a broken connector.

This bookshelf turned out to be more like two very short bookshelves bolted together. I wanted one large bookshelf, not two tiny ones, that bolt together. I wish I could return this piece of junk.

This is a nice shelf with a lot of room for storage. The only problem I had with it was putting on the skirt (the bottom part of the shelf) but eventually I got it on and it looks really nice!

This bookcase is great. It was easy to assemble alone, it only took about an hour. It holds a lot and the color fits nicely with my other furnishings. I would recommend this bookcase, it does the job at a great price.
