Westboro Desk

Well it says I think approximately two hours to assemble well I don't see why it took me seven hours then. I know who ever is reading this are saying well he just don't know how to put things together like I do. Well buddy let me tell you that's the same thing I thought when I read this in another review. The parts have no numbers or letters what so ever. So you have to try and match the part to the picture in the book. Man I almost gave up after about four hours this is the most frustrating thing I have ever had to work with. Some of the parts were damaged too but, none of them showed up cause must of the damages were on the back of the parts. And all this gluing of the dowels man I see what the two bottles of glue is for now. This is a beautiful desk when you do get it done. It feels very solid. But let me tell you if you don't have a lot and I mean a lot of time and patience don't get this desk.

I actually like the product and it functionally is what I needed. However, I recieved the desk with multiple scratches and dents to it, I assume from the shipping. Some parts were not usable and I had to wait for manufacturer to send new parts. From a distance the desk is nice loooking, but don't get too close. The veneer is cracked and the desk corners are chipped. Price was great but should get discount for bargain basement product/ scratch and dents

This desk looks as nice as a desk bought from a furniture store, no one would suspect it came from Walmart. While it is made of engineered wood, it has the nicest laminate finish I have seen and very heavy (the pieces are all around 1.25-1.5 inches thick). It did take the full two hours to put together and it would be very complicated to do if you were not used to doing that type of thing. The only complaint I have is that the bracing for the side panel could be better.

After reading some of the other reviews, I decided to go ahead and purchase this desk, even though I knew it would probably come damaged and would be complicated to assemble. I figured for the price, it would still be worth it. I got what I expected. Both corners on the top are smashed, in the front of course. And it took almost an entire day to assemble. It is solid as a rock, though, and looks great. One other complaint is that my knees touch the bottom of the keyboard shelf when sitting at the desk. So if you're over 6 feet tall (I'm 6'1") and you want to use the keyboard shelf, I wouldn't recommend this desk. Since I'll be using a laptop on this desk, I'm just going to remove the keyboard shelf, so it's not a deal breaker for me. Overall, for the price, I would say this is a good buy!

This desk was a great buy! I'm a student and have an apartment in Manhattan, so space is quite limited. This desk is the perfect size! Although it's a little on the larger size for workstations, it accommodates everything I need quite well. The desk itself is also quite sturdy and the finish is quite elegant. My only complaint would be the fact that the delivery service Walmart uses is not that great...many corners of my desk have noticeable chips in them. Otherwise, a must buy!
