(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I replaced my old Maytag washer with this one, I really like the clear top door, and the various features. The large drum fits duvets, etc., and has several load type options that I know will come in handy.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I had bought this exact washer 3 years ago, and it had to be replaced.....good thing I had purchased the extended warranty! The new washer arrived defective, and although Maytag replaced it, the newest replacement washer has been very difficult to level on my slightly uneven floor! Even when it appears to be level, it still wobbles when spinning.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Not happy with the way it leaves so much soap on the clothes. Doesn't seem to have enough water. I purchased this machine so I could wash big blankets, but find there is not enough water to wash them properly. Very disappointed.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have only had it a few weeks and it works like it's a solid, well built machine. I like... that it has a large drum and can wash a good sized load....spins out the water well on regular and heavy duty settings....and that the water level, spin, temperature and soil level can be adjusted manually. I also like that when set manually, it does not revert to Auto Settings between loads. I do not have to reset for another load even when I go from regular to heavy duty to small load, it's stored in memory until I change the settings manually again. I don't like...that using auto for any of the settings, does not provide enough water to clean the cloths or spin out the water well. It also slows down the wash cycle time. Items that were not deeply soiled like scraped off cat barf spots on blankets, that were pretreated did not come out clean. Nor did a load of my clothing, dark items came out with whiteish streaks on them so clearly all items were the same, I just couldn't see on light colors. I do not use powder detergent so the streaks were caused by the lack of water on the auto setting. Even with the large drum I do not overload, filling it to about half full of dry clothing. There are way too many useless settings for my needs but others may find them helpful. I can't speak for durability, time will tell. Overall it's a good washer, I'm happy with it. Be patient and take the time to find the settings that work best for you.
We bought this 4 years ago. Broke in September domeone tried to fix it, lasted 1 load. Did not use again until December when we had it fixed again. Lasted 2 loads. Had it fixed again in January, lasted 10 loads and just broke again an hour ago. Same problem. The cam that turns the agitatow sounds like a wounded animal, doesn't yurn then the cycle ends. Absolute garbage of a product that'll be 4 years old in February. Will never y Mayrag again. Fortunate we still have a washer that is about 15 years old and works amazing. It was loaned to us by family who had it sitting in their garage for a few years.
