Cough & Sore Throat, Oral Suspension, Cherry 4 fl oz (120 ml) Fever reducer, pain reliever, cough suppressant. Contains 2 ingredients: Fever and sore throat - Acetaminophen. Cough - Dextromethorphan HBr. Oral suspension. New dosing information. Designed specifically to treat the following symptoms: Fever and sore throat, cough. Temporarily relieves the following cold/flu symptoms: Minor aches and pains, headache, sore throat, cough. Temporarily reduces fever. Do not give more than directed (see overdose warning). Shake well before using. Use only enclosed measuring cup designed for use with this product. Do not use any other dosing device. Find right dose on chart below. If possible, use weight to dose; otherwise, use age. If needed, repeat dose every 4 hours while symptoms last. Do not give more than 5 times in 24 hours. Weight: Under 24; Age: Under 2 - ask a doctor. Weight: 24 - 27; Age: 2 - 5 - 1 tsp (5 ml). Weight: 48 - 95; Age: 6 - 11 - 2 tsp (10 ml). Attention: Specifically designed for use with enclosed measuring cup. Do not use any other dosing device. Store between 20-25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F). Sore throat warning: If sore throat is sever, persists for more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea, or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly. Do not use with other product containing acetaminophen. In a child who is taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your child's prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before giving this product. Ask a doctor before use if the child has a persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with asthma. A cough that occur with too much phlegm (mucus). When using this product do not exceed recommended dose (see overdose warning). Stop use and ask a doctor if pain or cough gets worse or lasts for more than 5 days. Fever gets worse or lasts for more than 3 days. Redness or swelling is present. New symptoms occur. Cough comes back or occurs with rash or headache that lasts. These could be signs of serious condition. Keep out of reach of children. Overdose warning: Taking more than the recommended dose (overdose) may cause liver damage. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away. Quick medical attention is critical for adults as well as children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
