Fisher-Price Sweet Surroundings Butterfly Friends Deluxe Bouncer

I have had several bouncers from Fisher-Price for different babies but this one has been my favorite (I had the . It's very comfortable, it truly is soothing for my fussy baby and also helps to keep them calm and sleep as well. It was really easy to assemble from the box (about 20 minutes and no tools and instructions were very clear and easy to follow!) and I also really like that the cover is easy to remove and wash (explosive accidents do happen, but fortunately easy to clean up). My baby is getting older now and loves playing with the animals by trying to reach for them (and they do remove as well for easy cleaning). What really sets this aside from other bouncers is the plushness and luxuriness of the padding- it's thick and seems very comfortable and keeps my baby snug. The music is quite soothing (even to me!) and lasts for 20 minutes. It's also pretty light and easy to move room to room (around 8 pounds) and it does't take up a lot of space (I often move it from my bedroom to the living room to the dining room). You need 3 C batteries and last around 90 hours- I still haven't had to change my batteries yet. I really like the gender neutral pallete of this bouncer too. The buttons are easy to use (vibrate and change the sounds- nature or musical). The vibration is only on one speed- but that's pretty standard and not a deal breaker. It works. I highly recommend this as a must on every registry or house with a new baby! If this is not on somone's registry- get it for them (they will be eternally grateful to you!) I find that this was great and useful from BIRTH up to 4-5 months (once my baby started sitting up and trying to move it was much harder to keep them strapped in). I have two kids five years apart! WOW! Times have changed in that short amount of time. Bouncers have come a long way. This Bouncer is fantastic. The colors are great for either a boy or a girl. My daughter love the animals at the top and loves to just giggle and look at them. From the first time that she was in this she has loved it. It makes making dinner and taking a shower much easier. Love Love Love this bouncer! The music and sounds are very pleasant and soothing for my baby. He falls asleep within minutes! Also loves sitting in it, while mama eats lunch! I love that it has a volume control as well (previous bouncer we had had no volume control and had to tape the speakers because they were too loud! (not by fisher price) Not all bouncers have a soft head support, so this is a plus! Also very neutral color and he loves the animals above. Assembly is simple, its light enough to carry around the house but very sturdy! I find this bouncer to be larger than regular bouncers out there. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

***I did receive this bouncer for free in exchange for my honest opinion.*** I was really impressed with the Sweet Surroundings Deluxe Bouncer. It was super soft and cuddly and extremely easy to put together. There were a total of six screws and most of the parts just snapped together very easily. At eight months pregnant, I was easily able to put the entire bouncer together in less than 15 minutes with only one Phillips Head Screw Driver. The bouncer does require three C batteries. There's only three things that I would change about the bouncer. The first being that it is very bulky to store. I think it could easily be improved by legs that fold against the seat for storage. It is however, very easy to take apart and put back together if storage were truly an issue. The second thing I would change is the mobile. I'm not sure that I will actually even use it because it doesn't move on its own and the monkey and lion are flat and are more for looking at straight on and not from below. From below, they would be very thin and not very interesting (which is why I only gave it four stars in the interest category). Lastly, the light grey and white chevron pattern on the fuzzy seat insert look like a dirty white. The grey chevron is too light to truly be noticed and gives the white a dirty appearance. This isn't too big of an issue and is only a style issue, but it is one that I would change in the future. I love the idea of the Chevron pattern, the grey just needs to be darker in the future. Now, for what I love: I already mentioned it's softness, but it needs to be mentioned again. I feel like it's so cozy that my baby won't want to get out! Next, I love that it plays the music or the jungle sounds for up to 20 minutes. That's a perfect amount of time for it to comfort and soothe a baby to sleep. And, the lights on the buttons look really cool! And finally, my favorite part is the 20 minute vibrations! They're subtle enough to mimic that of a car ride. I can't wait to try this out on my fussy baby. I feel like this is the best feature, next to the extreme softness, because I will not have to load my son into his car seat and into the car in order to get those calming vibrations. Overall, I'm extremely glad that I was able to review this product because I am very satisfied with it and can't wait to use it! My only issues with it weren't big enough issues that would keep me from recommending it, they were only personal opinions that in no way affected the actual usability or quality of the product. I have to say this bouncer was very easy to put together and didn't take long at all. The overall look of it is very modern and it makes for a good bouncer for both a baby boy or girl, so very gender neutral. While it isn't necessarily a space saver, I do like how sturdy it is and it's definitely a quality product. The mobile kept my baby's attention quite well and he really liked the vibration. It's been difficult finding a way to get him so that he was content without being held and this definitely did the trick! I also personally liked the music as it wasn't something annoying like some of the other baby gear out there can be, so it made momma happy too! I also really liked the way the chair part of it was made as it seems to have a bit of a deeper seat and never really made me worried of the baby falling forward. It's also super soft and plush, so that definitely helps the baby stay warm and comfortable. I have to say this was a lifesaver for me and gave mom some free arms! I would highly recommend to others!
