Nanit - Pro Complete Baby Monitoring System - White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used many different types of baby monitors over the past 11 years that I have been a parent but this one is absolutely the best so far! With my oldest (almost 11) I remember my husband laughing at me because I purchased two different monitors- a video monitor and a monitor that went under the mattress to monitor the baby's breathing. It was excessive, but I wanted to see my baby and know he was safe. This Nanit monitor gives me everything I was looking for back then, plus more that I couldn't have even dreamed about. The quality on the video is phenomenal. It is crystal clear in the daytime, like I am standing right there. At night, it goes to night mode which is slightly less clear since it is black and white (as expected with night modes) but still lets me see every detail to ensure my son is safe. The breathing band is so easy to use and I love that I don't have to attach it to my baby or make sure he is wearing a special type of pajama with his feet easily accessible or anything. I also placed the smart sheet on the crib mattress and use it to track my son's growth. I love seeing how accurate it is! My son is only two weeks old currently so we have lots of check up appointments and the camera has been spot on with his length so far. The app is pretty easy to use as well. I think it's really nifty that you can do so much with the monitor through the app. You can turn the Nanit into a nightlight, play music, set timers for those options to turn off, talk to baby, see baby, and set the audio to on, off, or background (where you still hear everything even when you're not in the app). It's very handy! Since my youngest is two weeks old, we spend a lot of his time in the bassinet so the travel stand is amazing! It is super easy to move it from place to place. It's the most convenient feature. I love this camera so much I now have two! One for my two year old and the one I received from the Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to receive this product in exchange for my honest feedback. This allows me to assign each camera to a kid so I can use the tracking and insights for each little one.

All I can say is; I've become more and more impressed with this system daily. This product is a game changer. I wish it was around 4 years ago when we brought our first daughter home from the hospital. For first time parents this system is a no brainer. I vividly remember being so nervous the first time we put our daughter down at home for bed. If we had this monitor worries would have been mitigated and we wouldn't have woken her up so many times checking in to make sure she was okay. The Nanit Pro was so easy to set up because of the detailed instructions and the prompts from the app. I had it up and running in less than 10 minutes. The picture on this monitor is incredible, no more blurry visuals in low light conditions. I also really like the sleep tracking and push notifications as it makes it easy to monitor the baby's rest which helps for setting up sleep routines or scheduling feedings with infants. You can tell Nanit has thought of everything. The wall mounting system is well engineered with a built in level and safety striping for cords which eliminates risk of hanging cords. Not only can you wall mount this system but you can easily remove the monitor component and place it on a stand which is great for when we travel. My wife and I have had our share of frustrations with different types of monitors and gadgets when it comes to raising our three children but we are both extremely impressed with this system. I honestly only have positive feedback for the Nanit Pro.

The app was very easy to use and straight forward. Registration is required before using the product. I absolutely love the breathing band and smart sheet. My baby was very comfortable in it, and it definitely gave me peace of mind at night. The Insights data that Nanit provides gave very interesting information of how baby slept. My favorite feature of the Nanit is the built in night light. I used it very often when it was time to feed baby. The night light helped prevent baby from completely waking up. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this baby monitor as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. After some glitches syncing the monitor to my home wifi, I paired the camera and began using it. Aside from the pairing issues, the set up was a real breeze. The app is intuitive and user-friendly. I get a notification whenever there is sound in the nursery. If you use a sound machine, don't worry - the monitor is smart enough to recognize that and won't alert you. Unfortunately, I couldn't utilize the overhead set up because of the connectivity issues I was having so I had to place the monitor on a shelf nearby. However, the picture quality was great. One major plus about this particular camera is that there are no bright lights on the unit which would disturb your baby's sleep or keep your baby looking at the camera. I was never really interested in a video baby monitor because I thought they weren't worth the expense. After trying this one though I would highly recommend purchasing. There are so many options and so much information you can get from monitoring your baby's sleep. I think it's worth the investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit Pro monitor is not my first baby monitor. Nor is it my second. There's a LOT of functionality included, some of which is exclusive to the Nanit. First, setup of both the app and the monitor itself was quite simple. The instructions for setting everything up were quite thorough, but honestly it was so intuitive that they weren't even really necessary. Extra credit there. Getting logged into the app and syncing with the camera was a total breeze. Once you've got the camera mounted (or on a stand), you can be fully configured in minutes. The app itself is pretty smooth. Overall it seems well-designed and is extremely thorough. You can measure your baby with the included blanket, set up notifications for when they wake up or make noise, and most importantly, configure sensitivity levels for those notifications and disable them entirely if need be. That's great! It's worth noting that I haven't had a single real app issue with the Nanit, which isn't something I can say about another premium product that I've used. Kudos to the Nanit team for that! Having to re-pair a device is never fun, and so far the Nanit is rock-solid. My main, and only real complaint with the device comes from Nanit Insights. Even the "Basic" Insights program costs money, but in my opinion, the features that it provides should be part of the basic functionality of the device. I understand that providing the infrastructure for the device isn't free, the device will be a lot less helpful once the trial subscription runs out in a year and it no longer provides video history over the past two days. This video history showing when your baby falls asleep, stirs, or wakes up in my opinion is the single greatest feature of the Nanit, and it's a shame that it's locked behind a paywall. It is a worthwhile purchase in my opinion for anybody looking for a smartphone-linked camera to watch your child while they sleep!
