Nickelodeon - Magic Color-Change Sunny

This Sunny Day doll is fun and vibrant. The directions are easy to read and understand. The hair tool did not feel hot so I didn't feel nervous letting my 5 year old play with it. I showed her how to use it to change the doll's hair color which she thought was magic! :) However, I feel that it is bestfor older children. My 5 year old struggled with using the hair tool and got frustrated. I ended up putting that part up and she just carried the doll around with her. My daughter is 3 and a half and is super girly. She absolutely loves that this doll has coloring changing hair. She also loves that the tool looks like a straightening iron like I use all the time and gives her a safe one to play with. She carries it around telling everyone about her Sunny doll! My 5yr old daughter loves this doll! She loves to color her own hair with hair chalk and now she wants to match her hair color with Sunny's. We both love the bright colors and that Sunny Day is a slightly funkier alternative to the Barbie doll. I had to help my daughter get started coloring Sunny's hair but after the first time she was good to do it own her own. My daughter loves accessories and would liked to have had more clothes, shoes, little pet, etc included but overall we loved the doll and feel it would make a great gift. I received this about a week ago and my daughter has played with it everyday. On the initial combing, a few strands came loose but since then we have not noticed any additional shedding. It took us a few tries to show my daughter how to change the color since you have to hold the styling tool closed for a few seconds but once she got hang of it she loves it.
