My Ooma Telo has saved me so much money and has so many features that I am not going to give up my land line! When my phone rings, so does my mobile phone that I added to my telo as a call forwarding. They also give you another phone number so you can receive your calls while your teen takes you phone captive for minutes or hours. No matter where you go, you will be reached from your Ooma account. It is a technology that just makes sense and saves you so much time.
For those still using landlines, this is a great option to have to keep your monthly costs low. I used to have my phone package with my cable provider but that was getting ridiculously pricey. I was spending $30-$40 a month for phone that I didn't use all that much. I still need a landline for work so I switched over to Ooma and haven't looked back. I'm spending about $8 a month now with Ooma and I still get great, clear calls.
We did not want to give up our landline, but we also did not like paying the phone company's monthly exorbitant charges. Ooma has been a big money-saving alternative! We only pay a fraction of what we did before, but we have reliable service and kept our number from before. We highly recommend Ooma if you already have high speed internet!
Have been using ooma for about 10 years. Reliable device. My first Oooma Telo device lasted about 10 years before it stopped working. I got the second recently. good customer service. very helpful. The service rely on internet. Get a reliable internet service.
I have been an Ooma convert for a couple of years now. I only pay the FCC fees and others taxes ($5.00. +- per mo.) associated with a normal phone line. The savings over time has been hundreds of $'s per year. The quality is as good or better than a hardwired copper phone line. FYI- I do have a fiber internet connection at my house.
