Ooni - Perforated Pizza Peel (14-inch) - silver

Super easy to use!!

A little pricey compared to some no-name branded ones, but this official one looks good & feels like very good build quality. I don't think I have anything bad to say about it really, it's exactly as described & if you're ok paying a few £ more than a no-name version then go for it.

Not great. You would think by its design with the raised areas and slots it should be perfect but we have a lot of trouble with sticking even when using semolina or corn meal. We have a smaller bamboo peel that will handle a 12 inch pie we have had for 30 years that works great for us. Learning curve, perhaps, but when you are learning 10 other different things as you start your Ooni journey you don't need pizzas sticking.

Hello! Unfortunately, our products are still in the box. We live in a very cold climate, so we're waiting for the weather to warm up so we can get things going! I hope everythng we ordered is in the boxes, but we won't know until we open them; hopefully next week when it gets above zero!

When researching pizza peels, I had read that metal peels were better for beginners and that wood peels would require additional maintenance. A metal peel seemed like the best to start with while working on technique inserting and turning the pizza, as well as making sure the dough doesn't stick. Cornmeal and/or semolina flour will quickly find a place in your pantry to prevent sticking from happening with the metal peel. It is easy to use and clean.
