I'm picky about coffee. For me, this is the one that suits my taste - and has been a go to for over a year and a half. Bold but not bitter. Very, very subtle hint of dark chocolate - but neither sweet nor bitter. With the Keurig, you can sort of dial in the bold or less bold. My other go-to has been Eight O Clock coffees, but I'm all about Peet's dark roast/French roast these days. Give it a try. It might become your favorite, too.

I thought this was a good dark coffee choice. Definitely strong but very good. I have never had this brand of coffee before so I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it. Turned out to be a nice dark roast. It did have a smoky kind of flavor to it, pretty intense, but tolerable if you like creamer with your coffee. It was pretty smooth, and flavorful, but then again I am a coffee lover to the end, so any medium and dark roasts are going to be great to me. You have to like dark roasts to enjoy this.

I love my coffee and K-cups allow me to have a variety of flavors and brands. The Peet's coffee french roast dark roast coffee K-cup exceeded my expectations. You normally have to go to a known name brand like Starbucks or Caribou, but Peet's Coffee French Roast Dark Roast fits right in. The aroma of Peet's Coffee French Roast Dark Roast filled the air. The flavor is smooth and full body. I look forward to trying a Peet's Coffee in a medium and light roast, I'm sure they will not disappoint me. Peet's Coffee K-cups are priced right. We have tried the bagged versions & the K-Cups for this flavor & have noticed no differences in taste. Peet's Cafe Doming DARK Roast is a blend of Latin American coffees, a smooth savory dark roast cup that you're sure to enjoy. Makes a perfect 10 oz cup of coffee with no bitterness. We liked this flavor better with 10 oz of water instead of 8oz. It is dark roasted for sure ! Will keep this brand stocked.

Peet's French Dark Roast coffee is a tasty brew for someone who likes a strong cup of coffee that has several layers of flavor. Some k-cup coffee brews up weak, but Peet's definitely does not. When the Peet's Dark French Roast is brewing, you can smell it throughout the whole house. After brewing there is just a hint of oil on the surface of the coffee. It is very dark in color, more black than brown. If you add cream it stays quite dark colored even if you add a lot. The flavor itself is kind of three-fold. It has that initial blast of smokey, almost burned coffee beans, like many dark french roasts. It’s a pleasant burned taste, however. Then you get a flavor that comes from the scent and it's on the bitter side. Once you get the coffee rolling around in your mouth, you can taste another flavor and it's almost like a spiciness. I think that if you prefer a very dark roast, this is a way to enjoy it in the form of a k-cup. However, if you like more subtle, less intense coffee, it may not be for you. It’s strong to the point of being slightly overwhelming to the taste-buds. I think that personally, I prefer the Peet’s Dark Roast in the evening after supper more than I do in the morning. Even though it’s flavor is potent, it doesn’t seem to give me more pep than lighter flavored coffee.
