Pleasant Hearth 1,800 Sq. Ft. Medium Wood Burning Stove

I bought this used from an estate sale and I'm not sure how much it was used. The fan is a bit to noisy for me. It sounds like a hair dryer on low setting. The stove came with a brick to cover the hole for the ash tray but it didn't have a ring attached to it so I can lift it. The two other small bricks that complete that space where missing. After starting fire if door is closed fire will go out. Even a hot fire where door was left partially open for air will rapidly burn out for lack of air when door is closed tightly. Very poor engineering details. Also the blanket that covers the baffle was missing from shipment.

I bought a used one about 5 years ago when we built our cottage. We live in Northern Ontario and this thing does a great job even in the -30s. If I had a complaint it would be that the size of the door does not allow larger pieces of wood - practically nothing deeper than 8 inches, and the box isn't.t particularly deep so I find it beneficial to cut some of my wood shorter say 12 inches (not required but easier) great draft, damper is ok (will burn a piece of maple all night) lights easy. I never use the ash drawer but it has one. All in all great little stove. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

stove looks good. nice window gives a good yule log affect . the hot air blower seems a bit under powered. the fire box seems cramped . having trouble heating the rated square footage [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

recently installed it in our home, took about 3 days working on it in the afternoons. now the home is easily warmed, the fire starts quickly. the stove quality is excellent for the price. the tv is off and everyone is watching the fire.
