The Portable Patient Transfer device by Caregivers Aide may be used for emergency transport or to assist in repositioning the patient in the bed or elsewhere. The Portable Patient Transport is an extra-large 35 x 72 incontinence* pad with handles. The Portable Patient Transfer has nylon sheeting sewn on the underside, is reinforced with nylon webbing handles extending across the width and length, and it may be stored under the bed in its own compact drawstring bag to be handy when needed. The Portable Patient Transfer device by Caregivers Aide was developed for a customer already using the 40" Bed Sled (see separate listing). EMTs could not get a stretcher through the narrow hallway and into her mother's bedroom to take her mother to the hospital. The EMTs used the 40” Bed Sled from her bed but found it not long enough for transport, so her mother's legs and feet were dragged across the floor. Afterward the customer requested something to help remove her mother from her bedroom at the end of this small hallway. When the mother returned home from the hospital, the customer used this Portable Patient Transport on her mother's bed daily, with a smaller 40" Bed Sled on top that is easily changed for washing. Colors may vary. *This is made with incontinence pad material but is not totally waterproof as sewing on the webbing punctures the waterproof barrier.
