My grandson just turned one and he watches Paw Patrol on tv all the time. His dad is a fire chief so you know his son would like sirens. I didn't find anything except the bigger ride on that was for older kids. Then I saw this one. Just right..For 12 to 36 months. It goes up to 2 miles an hour, no reverse but all the siren sounds. He loves it. Thank you Fisher Price for making this amazing Paw Patrol fire truck!!

The Power Wheels PAW Patrol truck is just the right size for my 21 month old. The first few times out playing with it he struggled to hold the button down that makes it go forward, but he eventually figures it out. Whenever he sees in the garage he goes toward it and wants to ride. The lights and sounds are a nice extra touch, and the graphics on the stickers are bright and colorful. The truck itself it light enough to pick up and move it around with little difficulty, but sturdy enough that I don't feel my son will break it. It's big enough, but not so big as to make it hard to find a place to store. I was a little disappointed that charging the battery wasn't easier. In order to charge, you have to unscrew the battery compartment to open it, unscrew the harness keeping the battery in place, remove the battery from the truck and charge it. Then repeat in reverse to reinstall. I wish you could just plug the whole unit into the wall; it would be much simpler. This is the first power wheel I've owned, so this may just be standard with how all of them work. There's nothing worse than disappointing a toddler with a dead battery, though. Overall this is a great outside toy, that my son get's a ton of enjoyment out of. It's a unique addition to his toys and we're very happy with it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We got this for our sons first birthday. Once it was charged up, we went to put him in it, and out of habit of his rocker and other types of cars he has, he spread his legs to straddle it. We showed him one time that the feet go inside, and he was a pro after that. Same thing with the button to make it go. We showed him once, and he was off to the races. It was incredibly simple to assemble, as it came mostly assembled. This is a five star product, but I did debate removing a star for two things that didn't quite meet my expectations. The first one, is that the connectors to connect the steering wheel to to the power train is quite flimsy, very cheap plastic, but it isn't something that is to be removed and reinserted so I didn't feel that was too big of a deal. The second, and this one is a little more irksome, is that the battery does not come charged, and requires that the battery be charged up for 18 hours prior to first use. Knowing this, going forward, I will remove the battery and charger from any new Power Wheels we buy in the future, the day before, so that it is fully charged for the day he opens it. Problem solved, so again, no need to remove a star. Overall a very nice product, and very easy and intuitive at least as young as 1 year old. I would recommend this product for any small child. We received the Paw Patrol Power Wheels for our 18 month old. The item came shipped in a well-packed box, and was almost completely assembled. The final assembly consisted of attaching the steering wheel to the column, and applying roughly 40 stickers to the body of the truck. The battery was also already installed in the trunk. Total assembly time was less than 15 minutes, however the battery does require a 14 hour charge before it is used for the first time. The only issue we have with the design is the need to unscrew the back "trunk" area to access the battery (and remove a second support if you need to charge the battery outside of the firetruck itself) - we aren't sure how long the plastic that the screws are tightened into will last. While ours did not have any restraints, there are openings in the seating area where it appears that restraints could be added. In addition, the foot area is roughly three inches deep, so our son's feet can't accidentally hang out/fall out while he is riding in it. The truck has sufficient ground clearance, so making a transition from concrete to grass and back is not problem. Our son LOVES the firetruck. There is more than enough power to drive over our grass in our yard, including some smaller inclines. It also reaches relatively quick (but safe) speeds. The single button usage was easy to show our son how to use, and he hasn't needed assistance since. Overall, we would definitely purchase another Power Wheels. Let me first start off by stating that I received this product for free in return for my honest review. The PAW Patrol Fire Truck is a Power Wheels and for any boy that in and of itself is a reason to want one. This model is made specifically for younger children (up to 40 lbs) and is great preparation for when they are older and are able to handle the full size Power Wheels. This vehicle is made out of a sturdy plastic which can withstand the inevitable crashes that it will face and the 2 mph speed seems to be a good match for the young ones. While I understand the reason for a forward only (no reverse) vehicle design since it's built for toddlers, it does mean that you will need a fair amount of open space in order to really use it - especially since it has a large turn radius. So, unless you have a large house/basement, the driving may be limited to the outside. This isn't a big deal though since that is what it was made for. I am not sure how it will hold up on wet grass though. After reviewing the product, I am kind of shocked that there is no seat belt to secure the child into the vehicle. The seat has openings which make it seems like it should, but one is not available. Is one really necessary? In all reality, no - but in today's day and age it just seems like it would be a requirement. The lights/siren seem to be a good balance. They are not obnoxious like can be expected of some children's toys, but are loud enough for the child to enjoy. The vehicle does require some light assembly (4 screws) and, to the bane of some, applying decals. I am somewhat disappointed with how the battery is installed as it requires a screw driver to remove the compartment cover in addition to the securing bracket. I understand that this is probably the case since they don't want the possibility of young children to play/eat the battery, but I think that another type of fastener such as a spring loaded latch or clasp of some sort would have worked equally well and not be as much of an inconvenience for the parents who will need a screwdriver at hand to remove/install the battery every time.
