The 45BSET-1 bed alarm is a highly effective monitoring device that alerts caregivers when an elderly dementia patient tries to leave their bed. The alarm immediately alerts caregivers when an attempt is made to leave the bed. The SUA-1Y alarm monitor connects to the bed sensor pad and sounds an alarm in the patient's room when pressure is removed from the sensor pad. The SUA-1 alarm monitor automatically resets when the patient returns to the sensor pad, or the alarm can be reset using the tamper-resistant three-second-press reset feature. For patient safety, the SUA-1Y Alarm Monitor is tamper-resistant and always on (with no unsafe on/off switch that would enable the patient to disable the alarm). The alarm monitor features a flashing alert light, a low battery indicator light, and an 80 dB alarm sound. The bed pressure sensor pad is ultra-thin, measuring 12" x 30", and features incontinent-proof, latex-free cover material. The sensor pad is comfortable and durable for continuous use and can be folded without damage for storage. It features a durable metal connecting pin that will not break (other brands use plastic connectors that easily break).
