The lock hook looks very poor. I also don't have any information about mounting this box to some concrete structure.
Simple to set up. You need a bank / ID card to open the battery housing and then a 9v PP9 battery. I bought this knowing it is NOT a safe, but for the fire and water protection for valuable documents. It is large enough to fit A4 documents flat without folding or bending. Another reason I got it. Obviously I haven't tested it but it certainly feels solid enough. It is fairly heavy and that why, I've only given 4 Stars. This really could do with a fold out handle or two hand grips on the sides. Happy with it so far. Would recommend if you have items you need protecting.
I like the chest itself very much and it meets my needs. I do wish it mentioned on the exterior of the box that a battery (not included) was required and the size needed. Also, I wish the manual stated the inside measurements of the safe as I needed to purchase an airtight container to fit the inside.
Needed a small safe for just odds and ends that you want to keep out of others eyes and hands........perfect size, not too heavy to carry, easy set up and directions, very pleased with my purchase. I will be looking at a larger one as well for the rest of the valuables that I want to lock up. I love this small one a lot!!
The safe was sturdy, and a good value for the price. However lacked a couple of other things. It was had to open. It seemed to stick, and not always open on the first try. Secondly the instructions were straight forward, except for putting in your own security code. It said hold down the area(and it showed the area with an arrow) until the green light blinks. Well I looked to where they showed me to look on the instructions, and all I could see was a hole. I tried holding my finger over it, which was stupid, and of course that didn't work. Then I thought well maybe a pin that was originally in the hole had fallen out. A day later I realized you needed to stick the end of a paperclip in the hole and then hold it down until the green light blinks. Why didn't they just say that???? Next and not least was the compartment for the 9 volt battery. To open it said just slide a credit or debit SIZE card in the middle of 3 slots in the front of the safe. Did that, and no problem, the compartment for the battery opened. I put the battery in, and that's when I ran into the previous 2 problems I talked about. Now, I go to take the safe back for a return, because I didn't like it. I tried to get my battery back out, and you can't slide a card into that same slot anymore because the battery is taking up 75% of the space that was available before. So what would a person do after the battery went dead, and you couldn't get back into the compartment to change it. Like I said I returned it.
