I ordered the Smart Temp reusable gel ice pads for my mother after knee replacement last June because I have them and love them. Instead I was sent Wal-Marts brand Equate. Not receiving the brand I ordered I should have paid a cheaper price considering Equate is a lot cheaper than name brands. I just found out today when I seen my mom's I received and paid for a different brand which was more expensive.
When put in sack for cool purpose, you do not feel much. And besides, the Velcro is backwards..... Also does not last long. Better off with real ice in a plastic bag,....
These ice packs are wonderful! I like them for aches and pains, and they stay cold for long periods of time. Sometimes they are almost too cold! I use them for my knees and my back a lot, and the straps are a nice feature to help icepack stay in place. I would recommend these icepacks 100%.
Strap was very comfy. Worked well.
Purchased this item to use after foot (bunion) surgery. After the doc said I could walk without the surgical shoe, my foot kept swelling during the day, as I walked and tried to get back to normal household duties, errands, etc. Podiatrist sent me to physical therapy and the physical therapist had a similar ice pack at the PT facility, so decided that worked better than putting ice in a ziplock bag. I actually use the larger pack to wrap my foot, since it wraps all the way around. It actually gets pretty cold. I put both packs in a large ziplock bag in the freezer (keeps the blue fabric clean!). The PT said to ice it 3 times a day for 20 minutes and this is working so much better than dealing with ice cubes!!
