Speed Queen - TC5 CLASSIC TOP LOAD WASHER

This is my second Speed Queen washer. The first one was awesome and lasted 14 years. The motor on the second one went out in less than two years. Covered under the three year warranty, right? WRONG!!! Try and find someone who will do warranty work. It's impossible. Really BAD business practices in my opinion.

We are so happy with our Speed Queen top loader washer! I researched various washers,and I had always wanted a Speed Queen so just decided to do it!! I am so happy we did. I just wanted a simple washer with old timey knobs controls. Have had very bad luck with all digital new washers just not lasting like our older models used to back in the day. Thanks Speed Queen for keeping these around for us!

I bought the TC5 and I feel like I have been transported to the decades of long ago. I have been telling friends and relatives to get one ASAP and that the machines of old days do exist. I have researched out washing machines for quite a while, I really did. What it boils down to is this. If you are a a mechanic, farmer, someone who gets clothes really dirty, get a TC5. It has a real agitator like the old days and will fill up all the way with water. If you don't get clothes very dirty and no stains or soils, the machine that has the perfect wash might do as it moves the water through the clothes and is a lot more gentle on clothing. My machine does move when on the spin cycle when I wash something heavier, which I don't understand so I bought some special pads the washer sits on and I will see if that helps it. I don't care if i have to sit on it to keep it from moving because i know my clothes are getting clean and while some people complain about the noise level of the TC5, its music to MY ears - I know its doing a good job ! Also, important to me is it's made in THE USA and that's important. I know I'm helping American workers. I never, ever thought I'd be so excited about a new washing machine, but having to wash with these water efficient ones from Big Box stores, like I've used for almost 20 years that do not get clothes clean makes me realize and appreciate my new Speed Queen washer.

I have never owned a speed queen have only heard how great the machine is, when I went to purchase it I wasn't excited about the price, but the salesman/owner of the store sold me on it. The warranty alone was worth it for me as I feel like I am replacing a machine every so many years. So far I am in love with my machine.

Well built, actually gets your clothes clean, without all the extras of other washers that you don't need. Fast wash cycles, great spin cycle clothes are almost dry when finished. That makes it easier on the dryer. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this washer!
