Splat Midnight Complete Kit, Semi-Permanent Hair Dye without Bleach, Azure

The color is vibrant, fades nicely, and doesn't require a hair bleaching. It does stain easily, but if you're working with semi-permanents then you should known that. All in all, great value for a solidly pigmented product.

Got if for my granddaughter, she bleached her hair first, but the color was uneven and had faded considerably after just a couple washes. It was twice as expensive as the other dyes.

it definitely stains really bad, even for over a week after you dye your hair. however the application process was simple, and the color looks beautiful. it also worked super well on my brown root area.

i got this color because my son wanted red hair. overall very satisfied with the product, i didn't have to mix everything like a regular box hair dye, the smell was wasn't harsh. the only thing i wish i would have bought some skin and counter top protection. very hard to get out, end result for med dark brown hair, it looks burgundy which he was happy for.

I have seen this everywhere being promoted for no bleach needed. On lightened hair most fun color hair dyes like Splat are a direct dye that really just "Stains" your hair until it washes away with each shampoo. I was very intrigued by the no bleach aspect of this and ordered the Purple. When it got here I was readying over the box and looking at the chart on the side which it explains that it will in fact be visible on blond up to light/med brown hair. I got this for my kid who wants purple hair and is starting with black so this will not work. I still give this a 4star based on previous experiences with Splat and the fact they were up front with realistic expectations on the box. This will be a very dark gemstone color with a realistic results depicted on the box. If you truly have hair on the very dark side of the spectrum I regret to inform you that you will still in fact have to lighten your hair for these kinds of colors to be visible. I won't steer you away from the original product we are discussing here but there may be other options if you have very dark hair to obtain some color without bleaching at your local beauty supply.
