They don't tell you anywhere that once you pay 349.99 for StarLink and your choice $80 or $120 service plan (which I chose the $120 plan it was the better plan for my home) that there is also a 349.99 activation fee, so no it's not just a 2 step 1) find best signal and mount 2) plug in and your ready! You then call and talk to someone who doesn't speak English fluently and all they will continue to say is to get your Starlink connected it will be 469.99 no matter, that you've already set up account and paid $120 and it still doesn't work! We will cancel that transaction ,not it went through on my bank account, but you call them back another person that doesn't speak English Fluently starts with the same thing and there is no one else to speak to supervisor, CEO, owner (EM) which we know he doesn't take calls but come on guys that's false advertisement and no way to get money back I used my card so they have to cancel transaction or refund and I can't get anyone who will help me we with this but they'll give you a free month service and it's been a month and I just got canceled service notice and I haven't even got started!!! I did my research and I was told that StarLink was great for my area but I haven't got to try it yet! Any advice?

Walmart advertised the Gen 4 but sent the Gen 3. Had to call and ask for a representative 10 times, repeatedly selected "0" 15 times as the interpretive voice systems just goes in circles about the shipment. Then had to be transferred to the fulfillment center and as expected was disconnected after being on hold for 5 minutes. Don't know why I didn't use Amazon.

The QR in the installation instructions guides you thru the setup. I'm 76 and was able to successful get the StarLink connection up and going in about 30 minutes. It does have a glish as it initial showed the monthly cost for the residential plan as $80 a month, but that is for the residential lite plan. the residential plan is $120 a month. the Lite is not available everyplace. The speed is fantastic compared to the system I was on

We needed quality internet connection for working from home at our camper in a rural area for summers. The satellite service at the campground was unstable and unreliable. The Starlink service helped us to work as effectively as our home fios service. The monthly service fee is very high but we are very pleased with service. We use video conferencing, upload/download, and streaming all at the same time with no issue.

Buyer beware purchased this from Walmart as they are an authorized dealer for Starlink. After receiving it I try to activate the unit was not able to do so as the number was already assigned to another user therefore, the equipment was used and returned. Needless to say I returned the star link And I'm waiting for a refund and I'm told that it's going to be about three weeks before I will get that refund so all in all I will be without Internet now for one month.. I would recommend buying directly through Starlink versus Walmart if you want to be sure to not purchase a previously owned unit.
