I ordered 3 bottles of the Lactobacillus Acidophilus on assuming that I would be committed to continued use for digestive problems. I did not know at the time that the product had such a short benefit life, and expired six months after my order. Each bottle contained 250 capsules with a recommended serving size of two capsules. At 1 serving per day, that is 125 days! So with that in mind, I had ordered over a year's worth that would expire in 6 months! In the future, I will order only one bottle at a 4 month interval if I can combine my other product orders to qualify for free shipping. I am happy to tell you that Swanson was kind enough to supply me with a free bottle with free shipping due to my mistake. I have been a customer for 10 years and always go to them for quality and price in many cases.

I order most of my supplements from Swanson and am very happy with the Swanson brand. This is one of very few exception.The price is good. Capsules are good quality. Easy on my sensitive stomach. However, I took one whole bottle as directed (a few per day on empty stomach) and did not see much effect. Took a long break, switched to other more expensive brands, and noticed a difference right away.Because I have high praise for Swanson brand, I may come back to this and give another try. But for now I must say from experience this is not effective for me.
