I hadn't tried this product before buying it off Swanson and I was curious because of how many health benefits I have heard about it. I wanted to try it more for energy than appetite control but it helps a lot with eating out of boredom which is something I struggle with. Depending how sensitive your system is to caffeine and stimulants this might either be perfect for you or not strong enough. I didn't realize that they have another one that is 500mg with 90 tablets for $14.99 and is buy o get one free right now. I think the concentration might be different because of his one having the "5:1" ratio. Regardless this product has worked great for me and it doesn't get me edgy or give me the jitters.

I have always been happy with supplements from Swanson Vitamins, so I did not think to look too closely at this newer product. I have been taking it for about a week, so it is probably too early to observe any substantive results. I just read up a little more on garcinia cambogia, and now I am puzzled. The general recommendation seems to be for a capsule or tablet that contains at least 1500 mg. of the active ingredient, at least 50% HCA (hydroxycitric acid), no fillers, and possibly added calcium and potassium. The product I ordered does not seem to meet any of these requirements! It is said to contain 80 mg (of what?) The meaning of "5:1" is not at all clear to me, although maybe I missed an explanation somewhere. It would really be helpful if Swanson Vitamins would explain in detail what this product actually consists of and why it does not (at least to the lay, non-nutritionist reader, and at the recommended dosage) appear to offer the minimum amount of HCA considered effective. I'm starting to wonder if I'd do better to incorporate some tamarind in my cooking!

This is one of my few “Loosing some weight by killing my cravings” pills that has worked for me, so far I've lost over 30 pounds. I take 1 pill at a time, keeping it in my system so I don't have cravings that is hard to control, I use so food is not on my mind all the time. It's important to take the pills when they will do you the most good, this I keep in my system in my waking hours so I am loosing weight slow, safe but sure so 2-3 pounds a week is about right for me. Being a great cook does not help but now I can cook anything, and only enjoy a few tasty bites.

I purchased a 6 month quantity of the two products "guaranteed by Dr OZ to provide weight reduction WITHOUT exercise or change of eating habits. My wife and I took the dosage noted and CONTINUED with daily exercise and watching calories. We expected a lot more weight loss. Weight loss was what was expected WITHOUT taking the pills. Have continued with the exercise and eating regimen and NO pills and the weight loss remains the same.
