Tabcin Children's Effervescent Cold Tablets are a combination of a non-aspirin pain reliever, a decongestant, and an antihistamine. The tablets also contain vitamin C for overall health. The tablets are used to relieve the symptoms of the common cold and flu in children such as runny nose, sore throat, fever, sneezing, general malaise, and watery eyes. The Tabcin children's effervescent cold tablets should be dissolved in water for easy administration to children. The tablets should not be used by individuals with high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease, glaucoma, or asthma. Children who have or are recovering from chicken pox should not use this product. If nausea and vomiting occur while taking the tablets and are accompanied by changes in behavior, a doctor should be consulted immediately, as these may be symptoms of Reye's Syndrome, a rare but serious condition in children and teens. Tabcin should be stored at room temperature, away from excess heat and moisture--ideally not in the bathroom.
