Targus TG-42TTN 42" Travel Tripod

The tripod itself is really durable, lightweight and very portable. The only issue is, when placing a camera on the tripod, it is over to the left and the photos/videos come out crooked. The only time it is straight is on carpet or if you put something under the camera to make it straighter.

Light weight and compact good for small camera

I have a Nikon Coolpix 510 digital camera that I purchased from Walmart. Absolutely love the camera but when I bought the tripod and trusted that Targus was a good product, the head of the tripod does not support the camera and allows the camera to tilt slightly to the left, making the pictures crooked in the frame. Very, very disappointing.

i was just looking for a simple easy to use tripod. this one would have been perfect except when i put the camera on and tighten the knob that secures the angle, the camera sits crooked. when you tighten the pan head handle its not level. whats the purpose of a tripod if you cant get a straight angle?! i have to admit it was expected for the price.

I have a Flip Cam and it attached on no problem. It is sturdy and I will be using this as a tripod on a table for recording out speakers. It isnt made cheaply and I like the fact you can rotate it very easy and lock into place too. Great deal for $14 and also beats some of them mini ones that would fall over that are barely the size of the cameras. I didnt need a huge floor model, this will do the work!
