Tasty Stainless Steel Kitchen Grater and Zester with Base, Switchable Coarse and Fine Blades, Blue

It's small but effective

I love this grater! It works so well and has 2 different sized cuts you can switch out. I also love that you have the bottom tray to catch your cheese and it doesnt just fall on the counter like your usual graters. Its also small enough to be stored just about anywhere.

My previous grater was a hand-crank rotary grater, but it was a bit of a nuisance assembling the device, finding a bowl to put the gratings in, then disassembling and cleaning it afterwards. The Tasty Grate & Measure has a much simpler design, with a built-it storage compartment/measuring cup which the grater frame (with whichever size of the 2 graters one wishes to use) snapped on top. To clean the grater, I just carefully pry up the grater plate at the thumb-notch on the grater frame, rinse that thoroughly under the faucet, and put the remaining pieces in the sink with the rest of the dirty dishes. Thus far, I have grated a couple different kinds of cheeses with the Tasty Grate & Measure - both a domestic sharp Cheddar and an Irish version of Gouda. I have read elsewhere that freezing cheese before grating makes the process easier, although I have yet to find the ideal length of time to freeze cheese before grating. (Both cheeses grated with just being refrigerated and cheeses frozen overnight create a great deal of resistance; perhaps only freezing for 15 minutes or so might work better?) Nevertheless, I was able to grate a sufficient amount of both kinds of cheese to top either an individual plate of food or a casserole in an 8"x8" baking dish. I suspect that there are many other kinds of foods which would lend themselves to grating (f.ex., making one's own lemon zest), and am looking forward to using the Tasty Grate & Measure both in cooking and tableside. Recommended.

Graters typically are such a pain and so messy. This grater is so easy to use, with 2 different grater inserts - course and fine - and a 1 cup base to catch what you've grated, it's so easy to use without making a mess. Plus, since it has measuring lines on the base, you can use that as a guide when you need a specific amount. I e mainly used it for cheese, but I have so many other ideas…

This Tasty interchangeable grater is very handy for small to medium grating jobs, it comes with two interchangeable blades one coarse and one fine blade. All the grated product is captured in the easily removable tray. It also comes with a safety shield for storage when not in use. The grater also has non slip feet and is dishwasher safe. All in all this is one handy grater.
