[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children enjoyed finding the hidden surprises in the playset, like the characters and hidden treasure, and the swamp snakes. The slime was very liquid-y, and they didn't enjoy that part as much, bur have been able to continue playing the playset itself since. They've even added some of their own treasures like cold coins and ‘special rocks'. Just be aware that some of the play pieces are quite small.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As much as the children enjoyed this it was very short lived and unfortunately hasn't been played with again I found the instructions weren't the best and it was a bit of a disappointment I don't like leaving negative reviews and I'm sure many children will love this, mine just didn't unfortunately
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The golden skull opens to reveal a miniature swamp playset inside with several hidden compartments for the 2 mini figures, Stump & Toad to play in, hide inside, swing on etc. and a slime pit at the bottom! It is made of robust plastic so thankfully handled some rough play by several children with no mishaps. I love the design feature that it clips closed for neat storage so prevents any tiny pieces being lost e.g. if taking it on holiday or to a restaurant, where it would be fab to keep a child occupied while sat waiting at a table. keeping everything together. My children and their friends, both boys and girls enjoyed playing with it. Please note that the slime is very sticky, so need to wash hands after play and it might need replacing at some point. It also has several tiny pieces so is really only suitable for older children that you'd be happy wouldn't swallow them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The boys were super excited to explore their Swamp Tower - they all remarked on the packaging and how it looked exciting and mysterious. Once opened, the boys opened the instructions - all steps were in picture mode (no writing) which was brilliant. It was immediately clear which steps were to be taken (although it did reveal what the surprises were - spoiler alert!) They did find one or two of the mechanisms didn't always work first time but with some minor adjustments - it all worked well. The boys enjoyed problem solving as well as working out what was needed to happen next. The green slime was a massive hit with my youngest although it was very sparse. It barely covered the bottom on the slime pit. Once the characters had been located (pulling the slime out with them), it had almost disappeared. Not really a problem, will buy an extra tub and top up for next time. The issue I have, is that once everything has been revealed (on the first go), there is little else to explore. My youngest is still enjoying playing with it but the novelty has worn off already for his brothers. If you are after a toy with an element of excitement and surprise, this would make an ideal choice. However, the initial excitement is short lived and could easily be put aside all too quickly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this toy for free but this is an honest review. My 6 and 9 year olds and friends played with this toy and all enjoyed it. Once we got the thing open (the trickiest part!), the picture instructions were easy to follow and the hidden items were fun to discover. The kids loved the slime!
