V Smile Cyber Pocket Learning System

My 5-year old has been wanting a DS (he uses his sister's) but I thought it would be better to get this because it's educational. In five days of play, We've had to reset it numerous times. Some for little brother pulling the cartridge out, but sometimes gameplay stops for seemingly no reason. On day two we replaced the batteries that came with it. On day 4 we replaced the batteries again. That's just crazy! The stylus is difficult to use because the response time is slow and it stutters on screen. The controls are not as smooth as the DS controls which he uses easily. For example, getting the character to jump from one place to another is very difficult, but play cannot continue until it is accomplished. The investment (game system plus games, and now adapter) is just too great for the quality.

I purchased this unit for my son to take with us on vacation. He already has the V-Tech V.Smile (a Christmas gift) and loves it and the games very much. I wanted something to occupy him during the road trip and when we arrive at our destination. This worked out perfectly because he could take this on the road and still use the V.Smile game cartridges he already has. It works just as well has the larger unit. Great product!!!

I found the V Smile Cyber Pocket learning system to be a very helpful learning tool for my four going on five year old nephew. The Cyber Pocket helps me to make learning a fun and easy process for him and he will be prepared for kindergarten this coming September.

I bought this for my 3yr old son for christmas. He had the old version of the V-Smile. His older brother has a DS Lite, so now my youngest thinks he is just like his older brother. The stylus is easy to use and he loves that the screen flips open just like the DS.

My 5 yr. old son got this for Christmas. He already had the vsmile for his room so this seemed logical since he could play the same games on it. We have experienced the battery problems like many others seem to have. I have to take the back off and remove all of the batteries and put them back in. It then turns back on but there is some sort of problem for this to keep happening. The stylus doesn't seem to work right either.
