Internationally renowned New Age musician Vangelis has had a lifelong interest in science and astronomy, and he brought two of his great passions together when he wrote Mythodea, a compositional cycle Vangelis wrote to commemorate NASA's 2001 Mars Odyssey mission. Vangelis: Mythodea is a video recording of Vangelis presenting the concert debut of his new work, in a concert at the Temple of Zeus in Athens, Greece; the concert features Vangelis and his group accompanied by a full symphony orchestra, with vocal soloists Kathleen Battle and Jessye Norman.
