To be honest, I haven't used the product yet, so I don't know how well it works. But the price was very reasonable .
Easy to use, had all it needed to work, works well for a pc that did not have dvd or cd.
Optical disk drives are no longer supplied with personal computers (normally). The Verbatim drive a useful accessory that includes a number of related software tools.
The Veerbatim is much the same as all other external writers. But one thing I don't like on this and the host of similar units is how thin and flimsy it is. You can twist and distort the package. These are also extremely unhandy to load and unload due to the ultrathin case. Eject drawer opens an inch or so and you must pull it the rest of the way. It is just too small and non-ergonomic esp for a desktop computer. It may be handy for traveling with a laptop but I sure wish there was one out there with a bit more beef in packaging .
I like the product for many reasons. However, I dislike the setup process. Everything loaded from the CD that came with the drive but then I wasn't able to get beyond the Welcome page. It took valuable time to research a workaround so that I could use the device as intended.
