Got the record player, but no power cord, with it. It doesn't work without the power cord. Paid 49.00 dollars and some cents for it. Would love to have the power cord door it. Thank you!

I don't know what's going on with record players and Walmart, but this was the THIRD one that I've bought with them and the first two quit working after one time of using. According to the manual, this meant the belt fell off. I returned the first one to Walmart and was told they didn't have any that cost what I paid, (even with a receipt) and would have to pay another $30 to replace it. I didn't. A couple of months later, I decided to try again and paid a bigger price, hoping to get better quality. I didn't. Again, it played one record and the belt fell off. I returned it to Walmart and was told I couldn't exchange it, but could get a gift card, Walmart's of course, for a fraction of what I paid. Again, my receipt meant nothing. I decided to take it back home and try to fix it myself. How hard could it be to put on a belt? Well, short of slamming it with a hammer (and I was tempted) there was no getting inside this and still be able to use it again. Many months later, I thought maybe enough people had complained that maybe they had straightened this problem out. I ordered not only a more expensive one, but a whole different company. A Victrola. A name we grew up with and trusted. I had a sick feeling when it was delivered with a hole in the side of the box that looked like a poke from a forklift. I also bought a 2 year Protection Plan, so if this one behaved like the others, I had backup with more coverage than the first two. This one was even worse. It rattled when we took it out of the box and never even played one song. I tried to return it and again, was told it could not be returned, (this time even a gift card wasn't offered). Funny, all three times I tried to return these, management was never there. I've worked retail all my life and NEVER, NOT ONCE, was there no management available. I've tried calling and calling and there's also no one who ever answers the phone, no matter how long you let it ring. These record players are trash and Walmart is not far from them in my book. Let's see if they use THIS review!! DO NOT waste your money on these.

I bought this a month ago and really enjoy it

Bought this for my 12yr old son for Christmas, and he loves it. It is perfect for him because he has a smaller room and likes to listen to music in different locations anyway. I didn't expect anything amazing for this price, but it's a fantastic starter turntable for my budding music lover. Well worth the price point, but if you lean more towards audiophile, you of course will want to consider another turntable.
