GPS was considered essential. The heart rate information has significantly improved my exercise program. Other calculated data has been really nice to have. I like having specialized activity apps already in the watch with more available to be added as well as many available report widgets also available on the watch and online to be added if desired.

This watch is durable and the app is easy to use. It's great for hiking, swimming and everyday activities. The only real issue I've had is with the band as it rubs my wrist raw. I bought a new band for it and its great. Since purchasing mine both of my parents have bought their own.

I am disappointed having shopped around and decided on the vivoactive music. The product itself is a great product, I am simply extremely disappointed to have bought this item and now after having a brand new watch I need to buy a strap made for a man's wrist. The strap that came with this item is made for a womens small wrist. I have a small wrist and this watch can barely be put on me (knowing that it will fail and break quickly, possibly damaging the watch from falling off my wrist during a ride or run). I am saddened that this was not an option given to me when buying the watch to have a full size band. Garmin makes a quality product and I has cheapened the product with this small band. John

I researched extensively before making a watch purchase as I've been looking for an upgrade to my Fitbit. I liked that the Garmin is a fitness watch versus Apple being just an extension of your phone. It tracks multiple workouts and is a lot more sophisticated than I was expecting. Highly recommend!

After one day in, I am thrilled with my vivoactive 3 music. I have had a Tomtom spark cardio music for the last few years and was sorely disappointed when I couldn't get another one after the battery failed. I read a bunch of reviews and came to either this or a Fitbit ionic. It seemed the reviews were a bit mixed for both. I settled for the Garmin hoping that my experience would be better than the reviews indicated. I LOVE it! I had no trouble loading music, connecting to my headphones, linking to Strava, or anything else. Some of that stuff is a little complicated, but the instructions are clear, and I breezed through it. My first run today went great, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. One downside- I think the watch itsel looks a little cheap. I really wish it looked the same as the non-music version.
