I got this for my 27 month old son and on Christmas morning we hooked it up to the t.v and he played it for about 5 minutes then went back to playing with his tonka cars. Since then, I've realized that he plays with it more by itself than when it's hooked up to the t.v. and hopefully he'll grow into the other features as he gets older...

hi just wanted people to know that this item is not the right item for kids under 2 and half to three because they don't know how to make it work and they can not sit still long enough to lean from it. My sister in aw bought it for us and my son is now 19m and just starting to realy interact with the t.v. but still perfers the play alone mode on the controler and the purple velco pice comes off very easily is some where in my house now but my son loves to play with that pice the most.

For the people who said this product is a waste of time must remember that the product is geared towards kids. My son who LOVES the t.v. is truly fascinated by this product. He is enjoying the bright colours. He is 14months old and has realised that the controller in his hands does something to the characters on the t.v. My aunt bought this product for him for Christmas (2008). He is thus far enjoying it. He likes the music and the characters how they jump around. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a child that is fascinated by the t.v.

although i give it a great score, the age is a little low.. i don't think this is great for a nine month old baby i say a year to a year and a half because from my experience and giving two as gifts that the child does not see that the button interact with the screen my son had his for 8 month before he actually got into it and really undestood the concept of it... and the parents that i gave this as gifts also said the samething but agree that it would be vauleable in the future because its a great learning tool so i suggest to stick to the basic stuff like building block and other hand product that teach them one thing at a time to develop hand and eye then once that down step up to this
