The heat gun is light and easy to handle. Two heat levels, good difference between the two setting. High seems very hot but I have not tried it on anything serious.

I've had it less than a week and have already completed 4 projects with it. It's small, light, and manageable.

I had to restore some wooden windows in my 1958 house. The paint was cracked and wood damaged from many years of neglect. I got this thing and went to town with it. In most spots you can get right down to the bare wood if you do it right. Take a few minutes and read the directions on how to hold it and scrape as you go. It makes a big difference. If you're stripping windows, be sure not to put too much heat in one area as you'll crack the window. Ask me how I know. Luckily it's a small window and should be cheap/easy to replace. Just letting you know to be careful. Not sure why there's a low setting. I used it on high all the time. I followed the path of the heat gun with the scraper and it peels right up. After that I sanded to get the remainder off and repainted and got excellent results. Saved a few thousand on new windows by restoring them. Don't bother getting the real expensive version. You only need one setting really. Anything else would be a waste of money. Might want to wear some gloves too, as the tip gets super hot and I had a few minor burns from accidentally touching the back of my hand when the scraper would slip.
