People have compained about the new handles being a different product that gets too hot instead of the wood that I have been used to for over 30 years - Simple! Use a hot pad. Otherwise, just as I expecged. Excellent. I splurged and got the blue insgead of the black. Grew up as a child with my father's red.
For the $160 I paid for this product, I received a barrel tub supported by what has to be the flimsiest tubular aluminum legs with what has to be the very cheapest plastic wheels available. I bought Weber because I perceived it to be strong and durable. A slight breeze could knock this thing over. My guess is that this product would have cost no more than $25 to manufacture.
I have owned a Weber Silver One Touch for years and found it to be durable. However, I opted for a new One Touch Gold for two reasons: the ash bucket and the hinged grill. The ash bucket is a big improvement since I use the grill in a screened in room attached to our garage. Ashes no longer are a problem! The hinged grill allows me to add fuel for cooking that requires longer time periods. The whole unit seems to be a bit more sturdy. Highly recommended!
the first time i saw this grill was on good morning American news. they was showing how to cook out for the summer. It was so cool looking i wanted one no matter the cost. The Blue grill in the back yard adds color to you yard and guest that you have over will also make talk about the grill. You cant fine them in stores only on line. the bottom line is i been using my last weber black 22.5" grill for the last 18 years. I will get another 18 years out of this one as long as it does not grow any legs. Just wish the grill was a little cheaper. the $160 price on it was a bit too much for the novice
My previous grill was a Weber Performer. This grill lasted for 15 years of hard grilling all year around. The Performer is a One Touch with charcole ignition system and cart. The One Touch may not have the extra features, but it's a tough longlasting grill!
