I was a bit skeptical about the Zarbees cough drink mix. I often wake up with a dry cough that won't stop and then I have a bad nights sleep. I have tried many cough syrups and the ones that work usually either taste absolutely horrid or cause me to be so drowsy I have trouble in the morning. So, I woke up with a cough and wandered out to mix my zarbees. I warmed it in the microwave and it tasted very much like a pleasant Tea. I found that I had stopped feeling the tickle to cough before I could even get my cup rinsed out and slept well with no drowsy morning. I was really surprised. The one I bought was for night time but I saw no alcohol in the ingredients, only natural melatonin. In fact all the ingredients are natural and I felt good about taking it over all. It noyt only sooths the cough and scratchy throat but also helps with supporting your immune system with Vitamin C, Zinc and Elderberry. It also claims to have no sweeteners, dyes or gluten so its nutritional sound for most people. And it tasted like a pleasant tea. I also thought Zarbees products were for kids. I've changed my mind.

Decided to give it a try since allergy season was so horrible this year. The taste is very lemony and tart, with a sweet after-taste. Kind of tastes better as you let the water cool down versus drinking it hot. It is effective in soothing a dry, itchy throat, as well as, making you drowsy and sleepy. I literally just drank it, and am typing this review and am getting very drowsy. If you are not feeling well and want to try something natural to help you sleep, try this.

The Zarbee's Naturals Cough & Throat Relief Nighttime Drink Mix arrived in time to treat my cold symptoms. It did help me fall asleep and I felt less congested. I had a second dose a couple of days later and had the same results. I'm still getting used to the flavor. It's not a flavor I'm familiar with.
