Designed by the same engineering team behind all of casper sleep products, the dog mattress is a universally comfortable sleep surface for our four-legged friends. We combined our mattress-making know-how with extensive dog-centered research to create a sleep environment that caters to canines natural behaviors. Pups spend more than half their lives sleeping. Even the most well-behaved dogs have bad days. But no matter how rough they play, most dogs can’t rip through our durable cover material it’s made with one of the strongest bonded microfibers available. It’s so tough, similar materials are used in performance footwear designed to withstand years of abuse. This bed will keep its shape, thanks to its fortified construction it won’t sink, slump, or sag over time. Dogs scratch or dig before laying down. That’s an instinct they inherited from their wild ancestors, who would kick up dirt to find cooler ground and brush away debris before turning in for the night. So dig in doggies. There’s a reason pups like to squeeze into tight spaces. They’ve learned to seek refuge from predators, so they feel safest in enclosed areas. Material - 2-Layer foam construction Visco elastic memory foam polyurethane support foam nylon, polyester, and olefin cover some assembly required.
Pressure relieving memory foam and durable support foam to create a bed that loves fido back Excess material on top for dogs that like to dig and scratch to make the perfect sleeping spot Supportive foam bolsters on the mattress create a safe space for dogs to lay their heads Microfiber blended material designed to be durable and rip-resistant Removable and machine washable cover that's impenetrable to fur slobber-resistant

I bought this bed for my dog 4-5 years ago and she has loved it since the day I brought it home. After all this time the main area is still holding its form without any noticeable sinking. Three of the four sides have sunken in a bit as she will sometimes sleep right on the edge. After all she is a Great Dane weighing 150lbs at her heaviest weight. Overall I'm so happy with this mattress, I wish I had bought it earlier to avoid all the beds that had gone flat in matter of months.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this for our cats, and it fits perfectly on their window bed condo! They are obsessed; way better than the basic foam that thing came with. They used to sleep on our Casper bed all the time, but now they have their own!
The Casper bed is Charlie's favorite bed. Every now and then she would sleep on the hardwood floors but she always finds her way back to her Casper bed. We recently bought a second bed, so that Charlie has a bed in the living room and one in the master bedroom. She used to prefer sleeping in our bed, but now, she prefers her Casper bed.
This bed did have some assembly, but is pretty sturdy and comfortable. It is pretty expensive and the cover doesn't fit very snug in the center. I love the fact that it is very supportive, unlike a lot of beds that are less expensive. I opted to put a blanket over it for my old man Golden who is 110 pounds and very arthritic. I find it easier to wash the blanket instead of taking the bed apart. The fabric seems very easy to wipe clean too!
I've used this with my 65lb hound now for over a year, and it was well worth the purchase. He sleeps overnight on it and during the day, with other beds he would almost limp or seem like his joints were sore getting up from them, but with this bed he seems fully supported. None of the padding has collapsed or changed shape, it's a super solid material. I like that the cover comes off, it's relatively easily to disassemble and reassemble. The blue colour is still quite vivid and hasn't faded. A dog bed this price seemed a bit much, but I'm confident this will last us a lot longer than previous beds did, saving my from buying a new one when cheaper ones have previously collapsed or fallen apart.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All three of our dogs love their Casper beds! They tell me it's soft but supportive and they love the raised sides to lay their heads and dream their dreams! The cat even curls up on these beds and dreams of climbing the Christmas tree some year!!
Our dogs were used to sleeping on a small couch in our bedroom but it smelled really bad from years of having dogs sleep on it. Got rid of the couch and got this mattress and hoped they wouldn't hate us/the mattress. They seem to really like it and they end up sleeping about an hour later in the morning. The company even sent a free chew toy with the mattress.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic construction! Too of the line materials on a par with luxury hotel mattress. One issue I was not prepared for was the sunken center and four distinct bolster sides. My 80 lb Airedale is long bodied and long legged and sleeps with her head over the side of her bed, completely sprawled out. Hanging her head over side bolsters causes pressure on her neck and a lot of snoring wriggling. I put a small mattress in center and leveled it out for her. Problem solved. My bed isn't as comfy...
I have had the dog bed now for sometime. Sunny is my golden and he does love it. As his human I want to offer some feedback for Casper team. The beds do run a bit large--that is, for Sunny who is 80 pounds the large is a bit too big for him, I wish I had ordered a medium. I do want to note he is a curl up sleeper so anyone who has a retrieve sized dog--if they like to sleep in a ball order the medium. He does scratch the cover time to time and it holds up nice. My biggest complaint is the tan cover is really hard to clean--let me explain. It cleans however the dirt stains do not go away. One minor complaint: you can take out the pieces easily, however, putting them back so they all fit without some overlap at one corner is a feat I have not yet mastered.
After the first wash (following recommended instructions) the cover looks awful. To the point that it looks like it's been used for years and years instead of months. For the price I do not recommend it at all until they find a better solution for the "washable" cover
