This machine is great! Small and easy to use and move around
I bought two portrait and they arrived in excelent condition. They are so lightweight and easy to use. Is the Best option if u are a crafter.
Great item for a great price. Does everything my daughter needs it to do.
For the price, I love it! So much easier than cricut.
I purchased the Portrait 3 because of its size. I have had the Cameo for years and love the machine, but it is cumbersome to to take to retreats. The Portrait is the perfect size.
I'm using it instead of paying for a die cutter, just starting out and have small quantities for pre-production/order fulfillment. The material I'm using is Avery shipping labels only. This doesn't come with any instructions, no quickstart guide, not even a QR code to scan! The 300 MB software download is large, and it's a limited version too. You'll probably want to get Inkscpe or other serious graphics software to get your graphics to a usable state. Before you buy the cutter, go ahead and download the software and see how well it works for you. It's different than so many programs I'd used before, lot's of new concepts, especially registration marks and edge tracing. If you can't manage the content creation, no need to go further - you'll have a lot of extra learning to do once you start cutting; attaching the printer output to the sticky backing, adjusting the cutting speed, depth and force. Some of the Youtube videos are helpful.
I've seen several people use silhouette for their sticker business, but it's very complicated! I also own a sticker business and wanted to try silhouette, but it's very hard to navigate and slow (I use windows 11)! I could not get past the printing step because it froze. Let alone the studio has SEVERAL different buttons and actions. I know a lot of people say that with silhouette they get more use out of the sticker paper, but I can only fit one per page? The cutting operations are also complicated to figure out. I think the different cutting pressures, speeds, and operations are a nice addition if you know how to use them properly. I also have a Cricut and it is SO much simpler. I feel like with the silhouette, there will be a lot more trial and error than the Cricut because the software is less complicated and more up to date. Lastly the most mind-boggling thing is the mats. The Cricut mat is dramatically larger then the silhouette. The silhouette can't even fit A4 paper?! I gave it two stars because I think I think eventually it'll work out but it takes WAY TO LONG! If your indecisive on which cutting machine to buy, Cricut all the way.
I placed the order online for curbside pickup. I was charged the full price for an item that was on clearance in the store. When I opened the box, it was clear that the item was a used return item due to the missing packaging, the scratches and dust on the machine itself, and the missing items that were supposed to be included. Now I have to make an extra trip to return the product, and I never even got to try the machine out, which I was excited to do. Disappointing experience!
Yaw said it will be here today it will be
You sent me a used machine with dog hair on it and it was a present for my mother.
