I really liked it. First time to eat this brand, but it gets a five star.
I have ordered this almond butter before from a different company. It is delicious to say the least so I tend to order it quite often. I decided to shop around for price and found Swanson's to be great but wandered about the shipping and service. Great service and Quick delivery!!! Could not be more satisified! I'll definitely be ordering from here again.
Let me tell you I am an almond butter nut. I have tried them all. Woodstock is the Very Best!!! I always say if you are what you eat well I am a nut. And I am nuts about Woodstock almond butter. This version of Woodstock Farms almond butter is dry roasted from unblanched almonds of California. It is the unsalted version. This allows the naturally sweet flavor of the almonds to come through. This is also a Non-GMO product. I have had many "natural" almond butters in the past. Most of them have added ingredients such as additional oils (I have to ask why?), sweeteners, and fillers. This is the best almond butter I have tasted so far and it has only one ingredient. Yes! Just one. You will find the texture to be the tiniest bit grainy if you are used to the creamy of the commercial products with added junk, but this does not bother me. And I love the sweetness. I literally eat a spoonful for dessert sometimes. The slightly higher price is worth paying if you do not have the equipment or desire to make your own almond butter and you want the best. This almond butter also comes in salted and raw. I have not tried either of those, but they are worth a look see.
I am very pleased with the taste and quality of this raw almond butter. I use it mostly for making quick homemade almond milk. The taste is great but it still needs to be strained since the almonds aren't blanched. My husband loves it spread on toast when he wants a quick snack. Great price and fast service!
This is the best almond butter I've ever eaten. I always bought roasted almond butter before, but no matter if it came in a jar or in bulk at the health food store it seemed to have an off putting taste. This raw almond butter has such an excellent flavor that I'll never go back to the other kind.
I have tried several almond butters, and, while I have liked them all, this is my favorite by far. When my local natural foods store stopped carrying Woodstock, I decided to order it online. Yes, it is thinner than others and works better for "dipping" as opposed to spreading, but truly has a wonderful almond flavor and is a great choice for the price.
Just found out recently I have a legume allergy (beans, soy & peanuts) and have been a peanut butter eater all my life. Discovered this product in Swanson catalog and buy it all the time. Local grocer doesn't carry and this great product and good price.
Taste great. Slightly runny even at lower scale to room temp. I am questioning it being totally raw since the Feds require almost all commercially sold almonds to be pasteurized, direct sales excluded. to make it worse they do allow sellers to still call them "raw" even if pasteurized. I hope the rules change and that this is really raw. I will keep on buying. I would love a reply especially if it is really raw. Then we can all rave about a great product at a nice price.
I love the taste of this almond butter and that it does not have any added oil or sugars. I just wish it was made from organic soaked or sprouted almonds.
