I like Taraji's hair products. They're reasonably priced %26 for all coils. I can tell she did her research on hair. I heed more to take care of buildups. More scalps care please. Continue the work … often items are sold out EVERYWHERE… please be aware of that!
No greasy at all but provides shine to your curls.
This is my absolute "go to" product for moisture, shine and even control!! I keep a tube in my travel bag, bathroom, vanity and take it to the Barbershop with me to apply after a fresh cut! I love the Glow Up!!!
I have thin and straight hair that gets really dry and crunchy for some reason. I don't even wash/over wash my hair every day, only about 2-3 times a week and I don't use a bunch of heavy products, but for whatever reason my hair always gets really dry and almost frizzing looking and crunchy. The only other product I use besides shampoo and conditioner is 'It's a 10 spray' which helps a little and but not all the way. Not only did I switch to TPH by Taraji shampoo and conditioner (I alternate between their 'Honey Fresh clarifying with moisture' and their 'So Lengthy strengthening and lengthening' every few weeks) which I absolutely love, but this Glow Up oil blend is the perfect product for me to rub into my dry strands on particularly crunchy nights when I know have extra time to allow it to sit in my hair before showering and washing it out. I quite enjoy this smell, but I can see how someone might think it smells like rancid oil. Like I said, I enjoy the smell. It smells natural and wonderful to me. It is definitely not like all of the other candy, floral, vanilla fragranced stuff on the shelves. I feel like you have to unfortunately buy it first and smell it four yourself to know if you like it. I appreciate that these products are made for all hair types as I am someone who needs a lot of moisture, but my hair also gets oily looking and weighed down looking very easily. Of course just like everyone and anyone I would like a bigger bottle for a lower price but obviously that isnt always realistic. Just about any product on the shelf these days I feel costs a lot. You let me know if you can find a product that works for my hair and costs less and smells decent, but until then I am sticking with this product lol. I also just appreciate how well their shampoos and conditioners work for me, so I love supporting them for my other products if I can. I was actually surprised that my hair truly appeared straighter, almost as if I used a straightening iron, after using their lengthening and strengthening shampoo/conditioner. I wasn't even looking for that, I was just hoping to alternate between the two as I hoped my hair would get all its 'needs' met that way lol. Oh I almost forgot that I absolutely LOVE their 'The Ish to Condish in shower body lotion/skin conditioner' using the brand Clean Logic's, 'Exfoliating Soap Saver' to gently exfoliating my skin while rubbing this in. I life in a state that has snowy cold winters and dry skin, and I find this is the only thing that helps me. Well and I hate the feeling of putting on lotion after a shower as I am cold and wet and just want to bundle up. I wash shocked how truly mositurized a felt after using this. I forgot where I read a few people recommend this product...Reddit maybe? Anyways, I cannot afford the rate at which I would like to use this lotion, so I mostly just stick to sometimes in the colder months. But hands down I'm loving this brand. I'm not really good at the whole self care thing and have never really known how to take are of my hair or skin before now. I also use 'Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream' for my face. It feels good to be at a place in my life where I know how to and can take care of my hair and skin.
I felt it was a little sticky, and was worried about putting it in my hair, but the results were definitely smoothing and my hair looked less frizzy. i also tried it on my skin in a few rough patches. It worked well, but i would likely continue to use primarily on my hair
There's something nostalgic about the aroma and texture of this product. I like it. But I don't remember to use it. So, that means something.
It wasn't what I expected. The oil blend is extremely thick and difficult to get out of the tube. I won't be purchasing again.
I purchased this product but didn't use it. I watched a YouTube video and the model was disappointed because the cap broke off. I decided to purchase the product anyway thinking her's was an isolated incident. Too my surprise, the cap broke off. I don't like poor manufacturing so I returned the product. Perhaps TPH can correct this in the future. A minor detail, but a disappointment nonetheless.
Not sure what it's supposed to smell like but it smells like rancid cooking oil that's expired. Not comfortable putting it in my hair unfortunately.
