I installed the Auto Drive Cassette Adapter in my 1998 Mercedes 320E Wagon. It easily slid into the cassette player. The 3.5 mm plug fit into my tablet and iPhone earphone jack. Sound that went to the earphones was now sent to my car's cassette player. The sound quality of the Auto Drive Cassette Adapter is excellent. It sounded better than any of my cassette tapes. Bass and treble were clearer and crisper. The overall sound quality was as good as a CD. When calls came through on my iPhone, I was able to mute the music to talk. Selecting tracks, songs, etc was all controlled normally via my iPhone or tablet screen. Now I can play MP3 files from my playlist and listen for hours. No need to eject and flip the cassette like the old days! The Auto Drive Cassette Adapter has given new life to my Mercedes cassette player and sound system. It is especially relaxing on long trips. When I opened the box I was a little surprised to see how simple this device is. It's just a cassette tape connected to an auxiliary cord. Just put in the tape and connect the auxiliary cord to your phone and your all set. There's no waiting for the connection or finding the right fm or am station. Just two easy steps!
This is really so cool. Great to have on hand. So easy to use. Just plug it in and go. It works great. Great for use by the young or the old. This would make a great gift
I love this Universal Cassette Adapter, I drive ten miles to, and from work every day, so music is a must, during my commute. I have a radio, cassette, and a CD player all in one. The CD stopped working a year ago, so I started listening to the radio, but I live out in the country area, so the first six miles are mostly static, due to many trees, and factories, I've dealt with this for seven months, then wondered if there was such a thing as a car radio booster, so I started looking for something to bring in a stronger signal to my radio. I have a few cassette tapes, but by this time I was used to the staticy radio. I was offered this cassette converter made for cars, and I thought, why not? This thing is amazing. It's so simple to use, just pop it into your tape player, plug it into the headphone jack on MP3 player, or phone, bring up your favorite play list, radio station, or audio book etc., and you have instant sound coming through your car speakers. It's great I have music again yay. The wire that connects to your phone is a bit fragile, I am careful not to get it tangled on anything while connecting, and using it. The only problem I've had is, it stopped working, but it wasn't firmly connected to my phone, which was my fault.
This cassette adapter is a must have for those of us whose cars still have an old cassette tape player. Lightweight and easy to install, no complicated wiring. Insert it into the cassette tape slot, plug another end into your phone, and that's it. I've been using it for about a week now, it's working great with my '02 Volkswagen Beetle. Works every time. The cord is almost as long as my 3ft yardstick. Not sure if I need it this long, but hey it works. I am very pleased with this cassette adapter and highly recommend it to anyone.

This is too cool, I know someone who has one, an now I do. I looked so forward to this cassette fix, and have seen others. So, the Universal Cassette Adapter came, and it was in good condition. I was thrilled to no end. Where we live radio options are few and those are spotty depending on where you are at. I opened it up and then I inserted it into my cassette tape deck. Nothing. So I tried again, and still nothing. So at this point not sure if there is a problem with this unit or my car. I think this is a great idea, and whoever came up with them is fabulous. I am thinking its this my old cassette player, it acts like it is seized up. Please see how others have worked it out, and I wished it had gone better. Im not ready to throw in the towel, it is a great idea, great price, and easy to use. Can't go wrong there, but think my cassette deck has been unused for so long that it is toast. The cassettes wont play in it now either. updated my review before I posted it: It worked fine in my GS old pick up. Sound is good, very easy, and mutes the music when you get a call. I am using this cassette adapter to connect my MP3 player to a old receiver I have it my garage. This cassette adapter works but it is very cheap and is somewhat lacking in the materials and in the manufacturing dept. This is the cheapest cassette adapter I think I have ever seen. That said, it still functions properly so how much can I complain when the product does perform its intended duties.
I bought something similar years ago, so I had a baseline to compare this too. The quality of sound is clear, there is a long enough cable, fits. BUT... all of these I have tried make a very faint noise, because the player is trying to spin the reels like a cassette. My other one would need your ear right next to it to hear. This one, those little plastic gears are significantly louder. With the music turned up a bit you cannot hear it at all, but it made me think it was broken at first with how loud it was clicking.
I did not like this Auto Drive Universal Cassette Adapter. First, i didnt expect it to be heavy duty, but, it seems pretty cheaply made. The cord is pretty thin and i dont like that. But most importantly, it doesn't even work that well. It works when you play youtube, but when i wanted to use it for google maps, it did not work. When i had youtube in the background, and used google maps, it worked, but when i turned youtube off, it stopped working. This Auto Drive Universal Cassette is very simple to connect and use, and would have been great for people who still uses cassettes, but its useless for me since it doesn't work for every audio that i used on my phone. Overall i dont recommend it.
