I bought this teething rattle for my 3.5 month old about 3 days ago. I washed it off and gave it to her and her little face immediately lite up and she began gnawing on the softer pink rubber part (butterfly wings). She seems to really enjoy me shaking it in front of her and even tries to grab onto it. I, for some reason, licked the pink rubber part and it has a sharp bitter plastic taste. I washed it again with dawn and hot water , then boiled it and and after it dried it still tastes gross. No child should be suckling or biting on something with that gross chemically taste. I will be taking this back immediately. No way to tell that this would happen until I got it home and actually "tasted it" lol.
My 3 month old seemed to like this toy, until she tasted it! She was trying to get the taste out of her mouth for 15 minutes. Looked like she was spitting out medicine. I love reading the reviews on walmart products before buying. VERY insightful. Too bad this was a "gift". Lol. Oh, and washing it a lot doesn't help. It's IN the plastic...
