as a bike rider of many years both freestyle and trail related i would recommend this product. its frame is Very strong it is a tad heavy vs the GT Air Compe ect. but the stronger Haros are the same way heavy. its why they last forever and the air/compe tends to snap if you're too hard on it. i've owned a lot of bikes and this bike for what you are paying is wroth so much more. a bike like this built this way with all it has is going to cost you about $375-$425 elsewhere i've always trusted mongoose and there bikes. my only complaint is the weight and the wheels i don't trust them for jumping something high. also the site is wrong the tires are 20X2.35 not 20X2.25 there a lil wider and not made for mud. but they will work for most anything else. i have a mongoose rebel i tool the aluminum rims off of there more fitting for what i'm using it for they add a lil weight but will stand up to abuse.
I have been saving up for this bike.It was the best investment I ever made. It is the most durable bike i have ever bought. I use it every day and it is still working perfect. I definetly recommend this bike. It will make a kid very happy to see this bike under the tree on cristmas morning.
I was very satisfied with the appearance and performance of this bike! My 6 year old loves it! It seems to be very durable and high quality.
I'm 13 and I barely bought this today, it's perfect, kinda weird then you're ridin it. But it's great! it go faster than anykind of bmx, and it's great for jumping. seem heavy but it's really light when you're riding. for a beginner, I recommend everyone to buy this instead of other ones. and those that likes mountain bikes, forget it, if you get this one, I'm sure you'll throw your mt. bike away
I purchased this bike for my son who is in his late teens because he prefers the 20" style. He commented that he really liked it because it was sturdy and heavy unlike a lot of bikes on the market today. He does a lot of trail riding and wanted something durable.
WOW! WHAT A BIKE. HOWEVER, PUTTING IT TOGETHER IS ANOTHER THING. I ORDERED IT ONLINE AND WILL FIND OUT TOMORROW IF I CAN TAKE IT TO THE STORE TO GET A FREE INSTALLATION. I SURE HOPE SO, BUT TIMING AND QUALITY ARE UP THERE AT THE TOP. COLOR CAME IN AS A WHITE AND GRAYISH-SILVER COLOR. ALL IN ALL, WELL WORTH THE PRICE.
i bought this about 3 months ago and i love it i use it to go off ramps and to just cruise around. the only bad thing about it is that the tires were no good at all, they wore down really fast, but this is because i love to skid on my bike. i love it (replaced my tires).
This bike looks great. The fanned spoke wheels and fat knobby tires are cool. It's sturdy. My son loves it. Seems a bit heavy compared to the Mongoose I had as a kid. Assembly was a snap with the exception of the brakes. The instructions covered many different mongoose models and could have covered the brake assembly for this bike a little better. I figured it out eventually. Every part of this bike seems to be high quality with the exception of the brakes. The brakes work great right now but I can't help but wonder how long they will last. The site-to-store process was awesome. Very impressed.
i loved this bike. a very sturdy, strong, and well built bike. im not a big fan of the wheels, and its a little heavy for my taste. so i stripped it of everything unnecisary. it lasted forever untill it got stolen a year later. the only problem i had with it is that i lost the crank bolt and the crank kept falling off. i would buy another but im gonna invest in a bike from bike doctor.
Nice bike. My son loves it. It was fairly simple to assemble until I got to the brakes. The directions in the manual was useless and I had to figure it out. The rear brakes still are not right. If I had it to do over I would have paid to have an expert put it together.
