I have wanted to try this personal humidifier for a long time but thought it would never work well because it is so small. I was very excited that I was able to test this product via Spark Reviewer. Much to my surprise this little thing is great. A lesson for me was do not judge a book by its cover. I have it on my desk at work where it is much needed, as many of us know our offices are so very dry in the winter. This is a little work horse, I can see the mist come out and feel it in the air. It has been so nice to have that moisture in the air and what a difference it makes. It is small but powerful, very quiet and I mean quiet I don’t even hear it running and runs for about 4-5 hours before needing to refill the water. Very easy to fill and replace the filter which I might add included 2 extra filters. You can plug it into your wall outlet or computer USB drive. Because of the size it can really go anywhere. When co-workers visit my desk they have all envied me and asked where to get one. I have directed them to Walmart to pick up one for their own
I wanted this personal humidifier mostly for work. I have allergies and asthma and my doctor recommended that I get a humidifier or two. It is quite small and does last 4+ hours as stated on the packaging. It comes with 2 plug-in choices, a USB and a regular AC plug. It also comes with extra filters which is a good idea depending on how much you are going to use it. I found it very easy to open, fill and change the wick/filter. It has one button for on/off so it makes operation pretty simple also. I like it a lot because of its portability. I may actually buy a second one. I would recommend this product.
Purchased to help with dry eye and static when petting the cat. i keep it on my kitchen table for misting at mealtime. Nice amount of mist. A great little gadget so far.
I have been suffering from a runny nose , coughing at night for almost a year and nothing work not allergy pills and doctors couldn't find anything wrong with me every night this happened like clock work . until my wife saw a humidifier in one of those shopping channels but there's were almost 100.00 dollars and they explained everything a humidifier did and all the health benefits it was like they were talking about me coughing and not sleeping at night ect -- so my wife looked for a cheaper humidifier and we found this one and also it had good reviews so my wife ordered it from Wal-mart- i have been sleeping better and hardly any coughing at night .. this works for me and i have never been happier for 19.00 you can not go wrong--plus it is portable.. LOVE IT-- I DO NOT MAKE ANY MEDICAL CLAIMS BUT THIS WORKS FOR ME ....
What a great find! Perfectly portable, this apple-sized personal humidifier holds about a cup of (USE DISTILLED) water and runs for 4 hours, easily humidifying a standard office cubicle. It runs off AC or USB, is inconspicuous, quick to set up and take down. I was the only one in the office NOT coughing for two weeks after a cold. Does not leak, though I empty before transporting it. Also was useful on the bedside table to supplement our shared bigger unit in the hall. GREAT VALUE, small price. Would DEFINITELY BUY again and have recommended it to many others.
I am in love with this humidifier. Not only does it have great output, especially for being so small, but it's also adorable. :) My clients and coworkers comment on it all the time and I recommend everyone buy one. I use it in my cube at work and it makes a serious difference in how dry the air is. I love that it's quiet so it doesn't interfere with phone calls or anyone else's work. It's super portable and the USB option is very convenient. I only wish it had an automatic shut off but that doesn't take away from my overall happiness with the product. I have to fill it a couple times a day but that's to be expected given its size. I keep a one liter bottle of water at my desk for convenience and I make sure I fill the humidifier before I leave work to keep the wick saturated. I love this machine, rely on it every day, and strongly encourage others to purchase one.
I GOT THIS AND FIRST THOUGHT IT'S JUST A HUMIDIFIER . BOY WAS I WRONG,THIS IS REALLY EASY TO USE . THE BIGGEST SURPRISE WAS THAT IT IS PORTABLE I CAN TAKE IT ON THE BUS ON LONG TRIPS AND I AM GOING TO BE FLYING UP NORTH FOR THE HOLIDAYS AND I CAN BRING ON THE PLANE AND PLUG IN TO THE PLANES (USB PORTS)..!! IT SETS UP VERY EASILY TAKE RIGHT OUT OF THE PACKAGE AND READ THE DIRECTIONS VERY SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND. I OPENED UP THE HOMEDICS HUMIDIFIER AND TURNED OVER THE TOP AND ( COUNTER CLOCK WISE ) TOOK THE SPRING LOADED WICK OUT AND PUT THE WICK WATER FILTER IN A CUP OF WATER. SOAKED THE WICK IN WATER FOR ( 2 MINUTES). THEN FILLED THE WATER TO THE FILL LINE AND THEN PUT THE SOAKED WICK BACK INTO SPRING LOADED WICK THEN SCREWED THE ( SPRING LOADED WICK) BACK INTO THE TOP . THEN PUT THE TOP ON AND YOUR OFF... THEN PLUG IT IN TO A WALL SCOKET OR USE YOUR USB TO POWER IT ON. PRESS THE ON BOTTON ON THE TOP AND IT PUTS MOST WATER INTO THE AIR JUST LIKE THAT. I LOVE THAT IT GOES AS LONG AS 4 HOURS . THE DIRECTIONS TEACH YOU HOW TO CLEAN THIS HOMEDICS HUMIDIFIER TO KEEP RUNNING LIKE NEW I GIVE THIS HOMEDICS ULTRASONIC HUMIDIFIER @ THUMBS UP I LOVE IT . 5 STARS
I use this when I paint in water based paints, like acrylics. It gives me more open time, and keeps the paint on my pallet soft. it is small, so it doesn't take up any room at all and works great so far.
Effective as a "personal" sized humidifier. Each water filling lasts approximately 4 hours. No auto shut off, so do not use over night unless you want to get up and refill the water depository. It is silent and produces a steady stream of cold mist which helps with breathing and counteracting ill effects if the dry air here in Colorado. Wish I had known it required the small filters and also wish WalMart would carry the filters. It comes with 2 extra ones, but additional ones must be ordered from the HoMedic Company. Good price and works well and can be used plugged into a PC. meant for personal use and not to humidify a whole room. Handy size. Was ready for pick up the next day.
I bought one for work and one for home. It holds water for about 3 hours, not 4 as it states. And you must read the instructions before you put it together. If you do not get the wick wet - soak it for 5 minutes before using - it will not work. It is a cool mist and I like that - to keep down germs. Good for small spaces, not large rooms. I like it.
