Detailed product description

The Flight of Peter Fromm is a novel of ideas disguised as the biography of a young man from a Pentecostal fundamentalist background in Oklahoma, who loses his faith while a student at the University of Chicago Divinity School. His spiritual odyssey is narrated by his mentor, a professor at the divinity school - who is actually a humanist who believes neither in God nor in an afterlife. Although Peter never abandons his theism or his admiration for Jesus, he reaches a point where he feels it would be hypocritical to remain within the church and to become the evangelist he had hoped to be.The counterpoint between Peter and the narrator reflects the eternal conflict between theism and atheism. In following the changes of Peter's beliefs, almost every aspect of Protestant theology and ethics is explored. The evolution of Peter's faith parallels the evolution of Christian theology, from the day of Pentecost to contemporary liberal theology.

I like this shoe because it looks like a formal shoe and a sneaker. I wear them with my casual clothes to dress up a little more than a regular sneaker would make an outfit look. They are very comfortable and fit nice and close to the foot.

I loved the style. It is a great going to a convention type of shoe. Looks nice enough for business but comfortable enough to keep you on your feet. Saddly it was a snug fit. I would suggest buying it a 1/2 size larger. Not wider but larger.

I liked the look of the shoes and I got great comments from other people. The leather is nice and has great details. I thought it would be a little more comfortable for the price. I am still trying to break them in. I only wear them once a week.

My orthopedist recommended this and all Aetrex shoes.I needed to wear an ankle brace for a few weeks and the only shoes it would fit in were sneakers. I feel funny wearing sneakers to work and found these to be a great alternative.

An attractive shoe. Unfortunately I had to remove the cushy liner in order to accomodate my XW foot. It seems impossible to buy shoes that are really XW and not really ugly.

They are comfortable, well made, and fit me like a glove. One can customize the inside insole if you have any pressure points, which was a nice feature that no other shoe has. They are also rather cute and sporty looking. I just love my new Aetrex shoes!

For my mom! I bought these for me, but unfortunately even though they say wide, they were narrow. My mom wears a narrow so she tried them on and she loves them. Luckily my mom can fit in them because I would have hated to sent them back :(

I was looking for a comfortable oxford that I could walk in and that would accommodate my orthotics. This one fills the bill, though I think they're pretty ugly, at least in my large size. But the feel ultimately is what sold me on them. Roomy in the toes, good cushioning.

Comfortable Casual Shoe

I have very problem feet and have to wear orthotics in my work shoes. I tried wearing my orthotics in these shoes but found that they were not that comfortable. I just started wearing them as is and found that they are fairly comfortable for casual walking. They look good with jeans or even dress pants. I like them a lot and if you don't have any problems with your feet you will love them! I also got them at a good price. I bought a black pair last year at a retail store and paid much more. I wanted a brown pair and was lucky enough to find them on this website.

When I pulled these shoes from the box, my first thought was that they look like bowling shoes. I have tried to make myself like them, because for the most part this shoe is comfortable. However, because the leather is stiff and the shoe is cut high, it digs into my ankles. I am returning them.
