When I received the air purifier I plugged it in and turned it on hey. It has a low, a medium, and a high-speed that you can select for the fan. You can us also set a timer for one, two, four, or 8 hours by pressing the button and selecting the hour that you want. You can turn on the ionizer which removes the particles in the air better. There is an indicator light that comes on when the filter needs to be changed. when I started using the air purifier I noticed immediately that it was making the air cleaner. To clean the air purifier you must turn off and unplug it first. Do not use aggressive or cleaners that are flammable. All you have to do is wipe away the dust with a soft dry cloth or use a vacuum attachment. I am very impressed with this air purifier.
This air purifier really works! We use it in our bedroom and run it overnight while we sleep for white noise. What we've noticed is there is far less dog odor in our room. We have two dogs and their beds are in our bedroom. The underlying smell of dog bed is completely gone! The filter is easy to access and clean and the controls are straight forward. My only complaint is it would be an awesome addition to have a remote but it's still an awesome piece of equipment. On high the purifier moves a lot of air. On low it's quiet enough for sleeping and gives a nice dose of white noise to the room. The led indicator lights on the control panel are very bright and easy to see.
This review is for the GermGuardian AC5600W 18-inch3-in-1 Hepa Filter Air Purifier for homes, medium rooms, allergies,smoke,dust,dander ,pollen & odors let be begun by saying I have 3 house dogs, so dander is a issue and this year has been a bad pollen year and as everyone knows dust and carpet are best friends so when I saw this on Spark to try for free I figured I had nothing to lose so it came and I put it in my dogs favorite room to be in ( bedroom) the lights on the top is not at all intrusive and it is very very quiet and I will say I do believe it has helped a lot with the pollen and pet dander and I know for sure it's helped with the odor in the air, I thankful I tried this because I love it and would like to have two more 1 for my living room and the other for my kitchen because this thing is small quite and works and I recommend it to anyone with pets, allergies or learning to cook it really works great.
This air purifier is very simple to set up and start using. I simply had to unpack it and take all the plastic off, open it up take the plastic off the filter and then put the front back on plug it in and turn it on and it was ready to go. I tried the different speeds and the low speed seems to be the least noisy, when I put it on the high speed it makes a lot of noise and I really can't use that speed. I do like how this purifier does seem to take a lot of the dander and dust out of the air at this time of the year, as I do have my windows open in my house. I will be interested to see how long the filter last and how often I have to change out the filter .
It's fall and for all of us with autumn allergies, we are suffering. Air purifiers are something I have always been a hard-core believer in. I live in an older house, which means older house smells. I have multiple purifiers in my house, but this one is, by far, one of the best I have used! First let's talk about what exactly this machine does. It is a 3-in-one system that cleans the air of allergens, ionizes the air (which means it has enhanced ability to clean particles in the air, and it helps to remove smells. I have used air purifiers before, and they can be both complicated and expensive. Filters are not cheap and this one, when doing research runs around $30 which isn't bad at all considering the filters last for approximately six months. The instructions include information on the filter needed and where to purchase. The system was extremely easy to put together. Just pop the front off and insert the filter. So much easier to use than some of the other systems I have used. I initially set this system up in my bedroom, which has no purifier and has the typical closed old house smell. Within two hours of the system running on high with the ionizer on, I was able to return to the room and not smell the closed house smell! I will be moving one of my other purifiers there and put the GermGuardian air purifier in a larger room. It does have multiple settings and the noise is similar to a fan. I would buy an additional system in a heartbeat. I'm already looking into other products by this brand because of how impressed I am!
Having 4 kids and 2 dogs is a struggle, sometimes. Especially when my house smells like gym socks and wet dog. I wasn't even sure this was going to work. But I thought I'd give it a try, because the worst that would happen is it would be a waste of space and time. I set the timer for 2 hours, and then went to run some errands. When I got home, my house didn't smell like feet (3 of my kids are boys, 1 is a preteen). I'm not sure about the rest of the things it's supposed to help with, but time will tell
I received this as part of the Wal-Mart Spark review program. I have had this a little over a week and so far it has been very quiet. It is hard to tell if it is actually purifying the air, but I do notice that the smoke smell in the house is not as pronounced as it was. I have 2 people in the household that smoke and I also have 3 dogs. It has been helping eliminate most of the dog odor, and will probably do better over time. As I stated it is very quiet, so on the lowest setting you can't even tell if it is running. The highest setting does make a little bit of noise but not a whole lot. It is also quite a small compact an lightweight design for an air purifier. It doesn't take up much space at all. It also has a nice modern look to it. The only downfall I can see is the price of the replacement filter. It is quite expensive to replace. They say it will last about 6 months depending on air quality, but we will see. You can buy the replacement filters in quite a few different places, but they are all on the high side of $35 or more. Otherwise then that it does seem to be doing what it is supposed to do. I recommend this for small rooms and anyone with smokers or pets in their house.
This couldn't get any easier to use. Pop the front cover to expose the filter & remove the plastic from the filter then put the filter back. Plug it in and keep it one foot from the wall or furniture. There are three settings. I keep it on medium. I also keep the ionize button on whenever I have the machine running. This machine is quiet and small enough so it doesn't take up much room. I have allergies and this helps keep the air cleaner and helps with my coughing.
Solid machine. My father-in-law has COPD and is always looking for ways to clean the air in his house. We set this up for him in his house and are continually checking his breathing ability. While this product will obviously not cure his COPD, it will hopefully over time help alleviate some of his really bad nights. It runs smoothly and quietly. I wish I had a devise to test the air prior to and after this runs for a while to really see how this cleans the air. In the end, if it at least allows my father-in-law a chance to breathe easier, I'll be extremely content.
I have only had the Purifier a week and had it running since I received it. It's difficult to tell it the Purifier is working from just sitting in the house so I thought one way to check is look at the filter. So , I checked the filter and was amazed at what it had collected. I can not tell you what all the stuff was on the filter but I can say it pulls things out of the air in the house. All I can say is WOW !
