No difference from Green Giant Brand
like the no salt in product-taste is okay-price is comparable
These are the best canned julienned green beans I've tried. Always very tender, nice balanced flavor, rarely any stem tips, nice coloration, and uber-versatile to have on hand for an easy daily vegetable serving. Good hot or cold. Great for doctoring other stuff to improve nutrition or just on the side with some chicken or whatever. Very good in salads.
I made a vegetable casserole for Thanksgiving using Great Value French-Style Green Beans. This brand of green beans was just a delicious as the more costly brands and it consistently costs less. I do not hesitate to purchase Great Value canned vegetables for all of my cooking needs. You won't go wrong choosing these.
the best to mix with your dogfood. My vet recommends green beans for fiber in their diet. My recipe is dry food mixed with can food mixed with green beans, Mixed with fresh rice/chix mix and a small slop of fat free cottage cheese. We have 3 standard poodles, a toy poodle, and a yorkie. I usually get it by the case when they stock it.
I use these to make dog treats. I use some of your bagged frozen chicken breast and some raw carrots. Put them in the crock pot. Mix in the green beans and blend them all together in the blender. Then spoon them on a cookie sheet. Freeze and then put them in a bag for frozen foods and you have some frozen trats for your dog. The no salt added is better for the dogs.
This was the exact same quality as the name brands. I was very happy. I like the no-salt properties.
In a grocery store, if there is a can that is dented I will never take it. It could have something wrong with it and why take a chance if you don't have to. Here, I had no choice and, many of the cans were dented. I buy the green beans for my dog. Thankfully, the cans were not contaminated or unusable. She's always hungry and the vet said they fill her up without adding calories so she stays trim. She loves them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I haven't had the stem issue others have had. I hwve had a mush issue recently with these just once. The quality is not as consistent another name brand I prefer. I do like to salt my own food and I like purchasing nonsalt added veggies when not using fresh or frozen produce.
The can was FULL of stems!
