I love this vacuum! I've never owned a canister vacuum before and this makes me feel like I've been vacuuming wrong all these years. I have wool areas rugs, one is thick shag, tile, wood, and linoleum flooring. It does a beautiful job on all of them. It's so quickly shifts to a powerful stair vac, too. A click of a button and I can get under the ottoman, buffet, dressers, and bed and store it in a small place under shelves in a closet!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never tried this type of vacuum before but man does it get the job done. I mean there is nothing it can't do and it's perfect for everyday cleaning to detail work and I would even recommend it if you clean houses for a living. I was extremely impressed with how quiet this vacuum is along with the longer cord and that it automatically winds up and that saves me a step and time. I couldn't hold my excitement so I literally went ahead and vacuumed my entire downstairs while my husband was upstairs sleeping. He had to be up early for work the next day and he didn't hear a thing. That never happens and this is a game changer. Now to why I love this vacuum so much. Upstairs in one of my bedrooms I had to repatch and sand a wall. I was careful not to get it everywhere and I was able to get right up to the baseboard and clean it with one swipe and detach the hose to get the rest. I was done in under a minute. I can literally do everything right from the handle to turning it on/off and changing the suction. I can roll or carry the canister which is helpful when cleaning my stairs. The cord is actually long enough that I didn't have to keep plugging into different outlets. I can finally clean under my bed with the longer handle and hose which by the way snaps into place when storing. I can even spot clean one area or unsnap to get the longer hose to complete each room. Best of all I was able to get all the animal hair up throughout my entire house without needing to empty it once. I absolutely love this vacuum and have already recommended it to my family and friends! Excellent quality along with durability and super quiet!
Let me start this review by saying that I have purchased and used a lot of vacuums in my day. For the last couple of years I've been using the Shark Vertex Powered lift away. I love that machine, but still missed having a canister. I had been seeing the Shark Canister Pet vacuum advertised on line and a couple days ago decided to purchase, and I'm so glad I did. The first thing I noticed when trying it out for the first time was how powerful it is. The suction power is unbelievable. I also love that it has 3 speeds of suction power. The beater brush has two speeds. Low and high. High is recommended for carpet while low is recommended for hardwood floors. The power head has fins mixed with bristles and does an excellent job at removing dust and dirt from floors. My favorite thing about this vacuum is how lightweight it is. I literally can pick the canister up by its handle with one finger. The controls for this vacuum are conveniently located on the handle. This particular canister vacuum comes with two attachments. A decent sized crevice tool and a nice upholstery tool. The power head comes with the unit as well. I tried my attachments from my vertex lift away and they fit and work with the canister! The canister glides on 4 caster wheels and moves great. It also has a 25 ft retractable cord. The Shark Canister Pet is a high quality vacuum that's lightweight and easy to maneuver. I give this vacuum an A+! In my humble opinion Shark makes the best household vacuums on the market today! I truly love all three of my Shark vacuums, and wouldn't want any other vacuum! Thank you Shark for making a canister vacuum, and for making my household vacuuming chore easier to tackle!
I'm enjoying this vacuum! It is quiet, and powerful, the flexible under furniture feature is very nice and also love the on off and mode control on the handle.

We have two long coated German Shepherds and 2 med coat cats and 1 short hair cat and with this many animals their hair gets caught in our carpet. We have gone thru so many vacuums even had a couple that were dedicated for pets but they never last nor do they pick up all the hair after a month. While we do have to empty it more since the canister is on the smaller scale it still picks up all the hair from the carpet. Emptying it is a breeze. What we really like about this vacuum is that you can adjust the strength of suction with a simple press of the button that is on the handle. There is also a button on the canister itself that we can tap with our feet to adjust the strength of the suction. We don't have to shut off the vacuum and turn the nob. Even after picking up all the hair we didn't have to worry about the hair being wrapped around the rotating bristle. Even the filter is washable which we really like. After using just a press of the cord button will roll the cord right up so you dont' have to deal with rolling it up. I highly recommend this vacuum for anyone and everyone that has pets.

Overall this is a great option for the price! Good suction, lightweight. Love that the wand detaches easily with a step of the foot pressed on the lever. Can easily clean up along my baseboards or cupboards. Easy for stairs also. I would definitely buy this again.

I cleaned my carpets and enjoyed the experience and powerful suction. This amazing Shark Vacuum goes in to the small spaces and picks up dirt brilliantly. I love the added light as it makes for easier cleaning. Putting it together was also a breeze and it comes with full instructions. The only thing I would change is for the head to maneuver more easily through small spaces but other than that, it is brilliantly made. I highly recommend for performance, durability and effective cleaning power.
The option for the brush roller stopped working suddenly within 45 days of purchase. Nothing I do will get it to work. Therefore it is only good for hard floors, not carpet. Total waste of money.
Do not like the plastic roller does not grab the carpet like the standard brush roller does so does not pickup everything when vacuuming. Very disappointed
