I have twin daughters and only one Swing n' Glider. I love the music and the motions sooth my babies to sleep. I especially love the plug in option. This saves me money and trips to the store for batteries.
The glide option is perfect for infants and swing options for baby/toddlers is great. My only complaint is that the motor is a little loud. (which honestly does not really bother me much- you can tune it out easily) The setup is easy to follow with instructions. My little girl loves it and her older brother loves playing with her in it. The plug-in feature is awesome and saves on all the batteries you have to use if you use your swing a lot. I truly love this baby item!
Love the swing. Our last little one has lived in swings. Went through three before we purchased this one. The first one came in the mail and had been dropped and something was broken. Walmart took came of it so quickly. We had a new one the next day! No complaints about this swing.Love the fact you can plug it in and not worry about batteries.
I'm a 3rd time Mom & this is my 3rd swing, and by far my favorite. I am VERY picky about about my things & was very pleasantly surprised at how much I like this swing considering the price. I feel it is a low price for the superior quality. I initially purchased the Bright Starts ingenuity cradle swing & was disappointed in the quality & returned it. I had a hard time deciding on a swing because so many of the new model swings seem to be sized for an infant but not a bigger baby, and this one is perfect! My baby is 4 weeks old, weighs 8 1/2 lbs., and loves to nap in this swing & fits perfectly w/the infant cushion insert. Yet it's roomy & durable enough to accomodate a toddler. It does tend to swing a bit fast on the low setting for an infant, but the directions said to place a blanket under the baby & let it drape over the seat to slow down the speed & it worked perfect which I think the faster speed will be necessary for swinging a heavier baby. would highly recommend this to anyone!
I haven't had my baby yet, but I am excited to use this swing! I put it together, with ease and I am pregnant. I love how it plugs into the wall or it can use batteries. It is so cool how it has the abliity to glide or swing. It is great value and i would recommend it to anyone. It works great from what I can tell and has calming songs that can be softly played or a little louder. It is definiately a great product.
I read the other reviews of this product (about it not working or not swinging) and I haven't had any problems with it! The only thing was that it wasn't the easiest thing to put together. Granted, I was 9 months pregnant trying to put it together, but ended up having my boyfriend do it. The glide is the best feature and my son (2 weeks old) prefers that when he is cranky than the swing feature. I also think that the mobile should swing around on it's own instead of being stationary. Overall, I love this swing!
Very happy with the fact you can plug in swing. Only minus is I did not realize this swing does not swing from side to side. I wrongly assumed the two motions were front to back and side to side. Baby does seem to enjoy the glide function though.
Great look for boy or girl. It's very convenient to just be able to plug it in the wall and let it go for however long he wants. The only complaint is that the speed adjustments really don't make much difference. It goes plenty fast but even on the lowest speed is pretty quick. That never seemed to bother him though. Also nice since you can recline the seat you don't have to worry about their head flopping all over.
We wanted to get a swing that was affordable since we were not sure our son would even sit in it. He's a bit picky about not being held, so we hoped this would entertain him enough that he wouldn't mind. He's fallen asleep in it, which is was we mostly use it for, but we were dissapointed that the mobile doesn't move unless you turn it by hand, which defeats the purpose of him being entertained while we get stuff done.
I bought this swing b/c it was so cute in the pics. Had it delivered to my home. took me 3 hours to put together. then plugged swing into outlet, did not work properly and the gears inside the swing mechanism made an awful growling/grinding sound telling me the gears were not connecting properly. Loaded it back up w/the box, receipts and back to the store it went. customer service at walmart did not give me any trouble (thank goodness) and just gave me my money back. I would not recommend this swing unless you could actually put it all together in the store and make sure it works properly from the get-go. I did love the fabric and the colors. I cried granny tears when this did not work out. I was so looking forward to playing with next grandbaby in the swing, baby due in June. I will try another brand since I want a swing/glider just for fun with new baby. granny
