The Fellowes Image Last 5 mil laminating pouches are easy to use and create a lasting product. I use these pouches with my Fellowes Venus 2(125 Office Laminator, which automatically adjusts to the thickness of laminating pouches inserted (3 mil to 10 mil.) The first thing you will notice about these pouches is that they are sealed at one end, and prior to use, you will see a watermark on what will be the back side of your item. Simply prepare your laminator for use and place the item you want laminated into the pouch. Feed the pouch through the laminator, sealed end first. (The watermark provides an arrow to remind you this is the proper direction for laminating.) Your item comes out sealed in a crystal clear protective covering, and the watermark disappears during the heating process. The 5 mil pouches are perfect for preserving photos, important documents, and recipe cards. These would be perfect for a classroom teacher who is looking to create learning centers and other reusable classroom materials. Dry erase markers can be used on laminated documents, which make for easy multi-use activities. These are also perfect for those who enjoy cooking and like to have their recipe cards handy. No need to worry about those recipe cards getting ruined by drips or spills when you have laminated them prior to use. Additionally, Fellowes has an idea center ( www.fellowes.com/ideacenter ) where you can download and print (free of charge) charts, flash cards, signs, worksheets, seasonal décor and many other items for home, school and work. These items can then be laminated for durability. The pouches that I have been previously using with my laminator are 3 mil. I was happy with these, and they were working just fine. I had considered a heavier pouch, but thought it was unnecessarily indulgent since they cost more. But then the opportunity presented itself for me to try the 5 mil, and determine what I thought about the comparison between these and the 3 mil. One of the main features of the 5 mil that caught my attention was the UV protection. Plus the fact that they are called “Image Last – Captured for Life” was extremely intriguing. I first tested them by printing some pictures on regular paper, and them laminating them. They turned out wonderfully! The weight of the lamination truly makes you expect that the encased item will remain intact and in perfect quality for an impressively extended length of time. I now feel the need to maintain a supply of the 5 mil in my stock inventory. It may not be necessary or advisable to use them on every project, but I certainly intend to keep some readily available for those occasions where their use is warranted. From what I have seen thus far, they are definitely worth the cost.
I use a laminating machine all the time. Having pouches that keep all the paperwork I want save, is very important to me. I started out with 3ml thickness, used these 5 mls and got a better result. I will stick to the 5 ml. To say that this brand of pouches make it easier is a testimony as to how many brands I have tried. Fellowes is the best, by far. I do not get any rippling even if I forget to move the previous project. They do not bend as easily even when hot out of the machine. What I find most interesting is how stiff the projects are compared to using 3 ml pouches. Big difference. I love the fact that no matter how many I used (I did 20 pouches this time) in a row, the results were consistently great. For those who are new to laminating, yes, there is a difference in the different brands. These are worth paying the price for a better result for those special items you want to laminate. Do not be put off by the writing you see on the pouches. It completely disappears once the item is laminated. I also noticed there is very little glare projected from the items laminated. My pic shows a recipe I laminated. You can see some glare on the side where there is no paper, but the recipe itself does not show any glare. SWEET! I even redid a laminated item to see if the glare showed up. Nope. Nice! One thing you should remember. When you laminate, you need to realize the lamination process seals and makes the laminating pouch adhere completely to the item. So if it is an item you want to take out later, you may ruin the item. This is true of all good laminating pouches. I have laminated pictures to send to family and use as gifts. As I said, I laminate recipes to protect them from water and wrinkling, laminate instruction sheets to place in a binder. Using the pouches keeps the sheets neat and consistent, as far as most sizes and shapes. Mkes everything much neater and last longer.
These Fellowes 5 mil. laminating pouches came in a 100 pouch package. Using these are easy for doing full page or smaller paper items that you want to secure in a water resistant and easily readable container. These pouches are 5 mil thick giving you a sturdy protector for your papers. If you need a smaller application you can do this in two ways. You can cut your pouch to size for the item or you can arrange your smaller papers in the pouch, run it thru your Fellows laminator ( not included), then trim each item. I found that if you make a ramp the same height as the feed receptacle on your laminator, you can feed a pouch with a number of items thru the laminator with ease. The manufacture has also included UV protection so your keepsakes should not fade over time from UV rays. And if you spill something on them, they wipe off easily. This package came in Letter size of 9x11.5 to handle full page items. When you open the package you see that the pouches have a watermark on them. Don't worry, this disappears when you run it thru the laminator. For everything from paper business cards, recipes, to membership cards to making signs and arts and crafts for school projects, saving newspaper clippings these 5 mil pouches will secure the items you want to keep and/or show off.

These pouches have many household uses but can be very helpful for any paper, recipe or other, that you might use in the kitchen as they protect the document and are easy to wipe off. They are handy for family use, but these thermal pouches and a laminating machine can be great assets for a school teacher, Sunday school teacher, scout leaders, coaches, and others. The pouches protect documents for current use, but are especially helpful if you want to reuse a document. For example, some medical offices use laminated patient information sheets that can be wiped clean and reused after the patient information is entered into the office computer saving paper and protecting the confidential patient information from being on paper that would otherwise need to be shredded after data entry (environmentally friendly also). These letter size pouches are very versatile as they easily hold standard 8.5” by 11” sheets, but it’s also easy to trim them if you laminate smaller items. They will work in most, if not all, laminating machines, but I use mine with my Fellowes Jupiter2 125 Laminator and have great results. The 3 mil thickness pouches are also very nice, but I personally prefer these slightly thicker 5 mil pouches as the finished documents have a heavier quality feel after being laminated. These Fellowes thermal pouches are very clear after laminating for easy reading and they can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. If you have a laminating machine, I recommend these Fellowes laminating pouches.
I love the Fellowes Laminating Pouches in Letter,Image-last,5 mil,100 pack. They are so easy to use, you just place your document inside the pouch and wait for the Fellowes Laminating machine to beep. Then you just feed the Laminating pouch with your document securely inside to the machine. Once it touches the rollers inside it gets pulled through, sealed and then comes out the other side. The pouches are awesome, I have laminated exercise guides,school documents, pictures,drawings,grocery list etc. It has been a great asset for my whole family. I am very happy with the Fellowes Laminating Pouches they are the only ones I’ll be trying. At least once a week or more they will be put to use in my home by my family or myself. Because the pouches are a clear plastic your two sided documents can be seen on both sides. I haven’t had to trim them at all because they have been the perfect size for all the things we’ve had to laminate so far but it does give you the option to trim them down to fit smaller pages. If you want your documents to have a very professional looking quality these pouches will help you achieve that goal.
The Fellowes Laminating Pouches are really a quality product. The sheets are a nice weight and work perfectly to laminate quick start guides, project handouts, recipes, homework and anything that you want to preserve. These are the letter size but they also come in legal sizes. They are available in 3 mil, 5 mil, and 7 mil. These are 5 mil, and I like them best for our purposes. They aren't too thick, the 7 mil are thicker, nor too thin, the 3 mil are a little thinner. They provide excellent document protection. Of course, a Fellowes Laminating Machine is necessary to seal the documents. I can't think of anything negative about these pouches, they provide excellent document protection without being too thick nor too thin.
I often laminate phone rosters and cards for my office, items that are subject to a lot of wear and tear during regular use. These laminating sheets are perfect for heavy use, as the sheet is a bit thicker than average laminating plastic. The thickness of the plastic means you may have to run the item through the laminating machine twice to fully seal it, if the item you are covering happens to be thick itself. For those who not familiar with heat-sealed laminating sheets, these are not “sticky” sheets like contact paper, you must use heat to seal it! The size of these sheets is useful for laminating most documents, and can be easily trimmed for smaller pieces. If you have a larger laminating machine you could line up the edges of multiple sheets and cover a larger document, though I have not tried this myself since my machine only accepts letter-sized forms! Bonus: the sheets are UV-resistant. I wouldn’t laminate any historical documents or irreplaceable photos, so don’t use them for archival storage. The UV protection feature would be best suited for laminating something you have hanging in a window or using in an area that receives a lot of light, it will keep your documents from fading quickly.

The 5mil pouch is a good weight that is pliable, yet sturdy. The out come of the finished laminated product is a crystal clear view of the document or photo that is UV protected. So it will stay bright over time verses being unprotected. The Fellows logo disappears when the laminating is done correctly so no guessing if the heat worked. Suggest laminating product menus, signs and and weekly chore list. I use the pouches for laminating photos, flash cards for school, business cards, and documents I use often. The possibilities are endless. Fellows even has an idea center to help with your laminating projects. While I have a Fellows Laminator, the package reads that the laminating sheets are compatible with other laminators. Perfect size for Letter sized projects at 11-1/2" x 9".
I received the Fellowes Laminating pouches by U.P.S. The packaging was poor. It was sent in a padded enveloped. It should have been sent in a hard box as the box of pouches were a little bent. There was no instructions with the laminating pouches. I feel there should be. These are 5 mil pouches and 100 came in the package. I bought laminating pouches with my laminator. The Fellowes pouches are far superior to what I have been using. They did a great job on all projects that I have used them on. I have had no wrinkles in any project and they worked perfect in my laminator without jamming it. The laminate is heavy duty and your project will last a life time. To keep treasured documents for ever I would highly recommend the Fellowes Laminating pouches. These come with UV protection. The size I am using is 9 inches by 11.5 inches. This size will fit most brands of laminating machines.
