I absolutely love this deep fryer. Yes I've owned a fryer before, a while ago actually. But it was a single basket. This fryer has a dual basket so I can get twice the food done faster, AND if you don't have a lot of food to fry, you can definitely use just one basket. I love how fast it fries the food and food always comes out tasting great! It is all black which fits perfectly with my kitchen colors, it is somewhat big and a lot of oil will go into it, however if you have a big family or fry a lot of food then the oil doesn't go to waste. It comes with a booklet of instructions on how to cook certain good, which I find very helpful. Like I said before it cooks food super fast, and food comes out crispy not soggy, compared to trying to fry food on a pan. I am so glad I got this from sparks reviewer, now I can enjoy delicious crispy fries and they are ready in minutes. Love, love this fryer!

French Fries made using this set, are amazing and very crisp, stay that way for 4-5 hours. This set can be used for any item that can be fried in oil. Chicken nuggets, vegetables, seafood are great to fry / steam as this set provides quick heat for large batches. Along with preheating and fast oil temperature recovery, cooking becomes easy. Spatter shield cover helps to reduce spattering. If you like steaming or frying, this is a great asset to own.
I was sent this product to review for Walmart. I had been wanting another larger deep fryer since my Waring stopped working last year. This is a little bigger than what I would have bought, a single basket would have been big enough for me. But I do love this double basket fryer from Presto. I can get all my cooking done in one big batch! It heated up fast and cooked quite well, NICE & CRISPY. You place the basket hooks on the fryer's edge, place the cover on, then lower the baskets. This greatly reduces splatter and hot oil burns. I am also not a fan of the smell of frying food in my small apt. kitchen, so I run my heavy duty extension cord outside & use it on my wrought iron table just outside my front door. I mostly do chicken wings, and I love when they are crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. I also do Onion Rings, Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, Fried Dough (Zeppole) and home made batter-dipped fried chicken cutlets. What I have learned over time is that if you want non-greasy fried foods, you need a deep fryer that reaches 375 to 400 degrees in temperature and recovers rapidly after placing the cold or frozen food to be cooked in the hot oil. My only real challenges are finding storage for the fryer and draining the oil & it does hold A LOT of oil. I recommend pouring the oil into an oil keeper with strainer. I do recommend, especially for large families or for Sunday Football Snacks!
Was so excited to receive this Presto Dual Basket Fryer and it has exceeded my expectations! It comes together really quickly out of the box and you can be up and frying in minutes. We've cooked wings, fried okra, and several other things and they've all come out perfectly! Love that we can cook two different things at the same time!!
The presto dual basket deep fryer is a great product. You can get a lot of food in it at once. It heats up quick and is easy to use and clean. It's great for parties or when your just having guests over.
I love this fryer. I love making French fries, tater tots, fish filets. They are so fresh. And just so hot and cooks fast. It's like a mini version of a restraunt deep fryer. I tried seaming vegtable s in this it just make them fresh in no time. This product is so easy to clean. I don't have a dishwasher I wash it by hand very easy. I would very highly recommend this product.
I have a deep fryer but it is not at all like this one. Its big in size but the part you cannot fry that much. The one I have only has one basket so you have to wait to do something else. This fryer is larger than I imagine. Just as the picture has it, you can fry chicken or anything else at the same time. Easy to take apart to drain and clean very conveniently. Great for weekend get togethers, little snacks and just something small to cook up right quick. Everything you fry comes out soo juicy and crispy. I think I may get this for someone as a great house warming gift!!!!!!!
Couldn't wait to try this out on some catfish and hushpuppies but i must of got into a hurry as the first batch was greasy a sure sign that the grease wasn't hot enough. On the second batch i turned the fryer all the way up and cooked smaller batches and everything was fine. I do wish it heated to 400 though as 375 was the highest setting. I didn't have a thermometer to check the settings to see if it was accurate or kept a steady temp as you need constant hot oil to cook fish. I wish the heat control knob was easier to read with a white mark instead of black on black. You'll want the optional large basket for cooking fried chicken but the ones included are fine for smaller items like fries, tater tots, corndogs etc. I wouldn't overload the baskets as it might cool down the oil and make the food greasy is my main advice. We've only used it once so far and it was given to us to try out for our review so that's my honest opinion on our first deep fryer.

I have had deep fryers, and thought this would be a good replacement option. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the quality - it feels flimsy, not something you want in a deep fryer. This uses a substantial amount of oil, which is great if you're frying a lot. Problem i encountered was the recovery time after the first batch took forever and never seemed to quite reach the desired temperature. On the plus side, i was able to make rice balls and fried pickles at the same time. That feature is why i wanted to try this unit. I really wanted to love this fryer, but the temperature varies and the unit is not well constructed.
